Great selection of fresh produce (vegetables and animal based protein) , canned goods, snack food, and frozen goods. The refrigerators used to store temperature sensitive products are always at the optimal temperature, items that are out of stock are always refilled promptly, and when they are actually out of something it is quickly replaced with something else, which is usually equally as good. The employees occasionally seen restocking products are always helpful when asked where to find something, and the cashiers are very VERY good at what they do, especially in terms keeping things running smoothly. The same compliment can be extended to the managerial staff that coordinates the decisions to put more cashiers on the floor when the line becomes too much for one register attendant to handle. Getting in to the parking lot of this location is a little odd, as you can only pull directly in to the Aldi parking lot via a right hand turn (according to the signs posted on the road, but who really cares right?), otherwise you have to make a left turn in to the CVS parking lot and drive up to Aldi. They've been handling the pandemic situation very effectively as well, especially considering the fact they waived the $0.25 loan to use the carts ( from what I over heard while shopping they have recently gone back to the "quarter per cart" system, but it's still nice knowing it wasn't like that at the peak of the crisis). There is constantly someone sanitizing the carts at the door, and they have signs specifying that masks are required for entry. That being said, there has been one, maybe two, occurrences where someone enters the premises with out a mask. As much as I'd like for a person not following said guidelines to be confronted, I haven't personally witnessed it.. though, the other customers in these situations seemed to be very cognizant, and avoided said individuals. I cant blame employees for not saying anything either, as that sort of social interaction is not necessarily a required part of the job, and could be potentially a very stressful thing for an employee to do. On a similar note, it is worth saying that the management have placed stickers on the ground, as well as signs that are posted indicating the direction in which customer traffic should be oriented (which again, is ignored for the most part.. but the fact it's prominently posted deems it acceptable in terms of preventative measures being placed). Overall, I would rate this location as one of the best in Rochester, and if you live closer to other Aldi storefronts, such as the Lake Ave location, it's worth it to drive the extra ten minutes to give this location your business. All around a pleasant experience that is coordinated by people who clearly know how to run an efficient and pleasant grocery store, would reccomend 10/10 to anyone who is interested in shopping for household goods...
Read moreIt was my first time at Aldis on Winton Road and I must say I was not impressed. I was doing my very first instacart there and every time I ask an employee for help it just seemed like they didn't want to be bothered I know it was early in the morning and they were busy restocking but I just feel like all of them had attitudes whenever I tried to interact with them, and they don't really have a large selection of food items to choose from which is why I don't shop at Aldi's myself not to mention you can't do anything digital on their computers so I couldn't even complete my instacart with my digital card because I forgot my physical card at home did not enjoy shopping at Aldi's on Winton Road employees attitudes...
Read moreI love doing quick grocery runs here when I don't want to deal with the overcrowdedness at the Wegmans down the road. Frequently as I'm walking in, someone offers me their cart (instead of returning it for their quarter) or I can find one that someone has left unlocked for others to use. The layout of the store is great with its wide aisles so there's plenty of room for shoppers to maneuver around my two kids (who love to sit down and look at the stuff in the Limited Time Finds/Seasonal aisle). Staff and shoppers here are also so sweet to my kids; smiles and encouraging words all around. The store manager must be doing something right to create such a lovely environment...
