I stumbled across this place by complete happenstance. I was in the area and looked up local pubs and stopped in for a drink. Danny the bartender is the most attentive and friendly. To my good fortune I was lucky enough to pull up a stool on fireball night. After a few drafts I was talked into sampling the fireball. They made their own rendition of the Moscow Mule. They called it the Fiery Jackass. It's quite the place if I do say so myself. I'm lucky to have stumbled across this place as well as meeting the local tavern fare. If you happen to be on Blossom St in "The Flower City" in Rochester NY id recommend a visit.

I came here to have some beers and a good dinner, and it did not disappoint! They had a very good selection of beers: I had a Guinness on draft and then a Boddington‘s pub ale in a can. They had some craft, some light, and even a canned sangria! For dinner I ordered a hot honey pizza from the attached window to Bay and Goodman pizza and it was amazing! Even with the personal size there was enough to take home to have for lunch tomorrow! I should’ve taken a picture of their specials board because I remember the Tuesday night prices looked ridiculously cheap, so I will have to go back and check it out.

Warm, inviting atmosphere with an exceptionally charismatic owner! This is the place to be if you want to kick back and enjoy your surroundings with a few drinks. The food is phenomenal and well worth the price, especially for having vegan options with competitive pricing to their non-vegan selection. Overall, great experience. Will be coming here again regularly. Everyone living in or visiting Rochester should experience this treasure.

I was so disappointed. This was my first time at the pub and I was very excited to somewhere different than my usual hang outs. I ordered a rueben and it smelled really good! Upon closer inspection, the rueben was FILLED with moldy black-spotted broccoli slaw and other greens. To add to this, the bartender was clearly unhappy and somewhat rude to us. She was nice enough to not charge me for the rueben, but then for my replacement food, I was charged. She left as her shift ended, and the next bartender was not any better. It had been over 35 minutes since the previous bartender placed my chicken tender order. I nicely let her know that my chicken tender order had been placed before 8pm, and that we had to go somewhere, so i'd like to take it to go. At this point, it had been 8:25pm. The restaurant maybe had 8-12 other people in it, only 2 open orders which had come in after we placed the second order--they had gotten nachos and a quesadilla it looked like. The bartender told me it would be two more minutes after my second time asking about the status of the food. I've worked in food for many years, so i understand sometimes the kitchen can get backed up. But after 10 more minutes, I apologized and said we had to go. She clearly looked annoyed, and like I was asking for the world for her to go check on the status of the food. "Well, I guess I can go check..." I just didn't appreciate the vibes from the bartenders, hopefully it was just an off day for them, but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. In conjunction with the moldy food, I just am grateful I didn't get violently ill. Won't...

So many bars these days are either absolute dives with crap offerings or so sanitized, corporatized, and curated that I don't relax or feel connected to real people there. The Boot Room Pub strikes a great balance- a comfortable, friendly atmosphere with a range of awesome beer choices and award-winning pizza, (plus a full menu incl great wings) from Bay & Goodman- which is connected to it. The bartenders there can mix your favorites with the best of them and added a few tasty creations of their own as well. Of course it's the premier soccer bar in town, but it's also a great place to watch NFL football, MLB baseball, NBA basketball, or your sport of choice- there are plenty of TV's. It's a good place to bring friends or strike up a conversation because the music isn't too loud like it is in...

Went there once with friends. The poutine was good. The tap line was fine, but nothing that knocked me back. The bartender was friendly and the owner asked me how my food was and if we were having a good time. I always appreciate that. We got delivery from there a couple weeks later and because I enjoyed the poutine before, I got it again. It was very salty and I barely ate half. I’ll try them again though. Maybe the chef had an off night. It happens.

Update! I went there on a Thursday night when they have seriously amazing fried chicken. My mom and I went and had a great time with the staff and will definitely be back...
