Game Craze 1751 — Attraction in City of Rochester

The most unforgivable thing about this store is that the majority of the stock has faded artwork. A lot of it is minimal (like 10-20% fading) but anyone who collects would be able to spot it. I initially thought that someone had traded in a bunch of games that had been sitting in a window, but the more I walked around the store, the more I realized every section (pre PS4 and Xbox One) had the same problem. There’s very little sunlight coming in, so I believe the main culprit is overexposure to fluorescent lights. They have them all throughout the store, and I think even inside the glass cases (where the older games are). It was also an immediate red flag that their prices were too high, since it does take some time for fading to occur, meaning the games must not be selling.

I was also disappointed that the vast majority of games were locked in glass cases, or out of reach behind the counters. I won’t complain too much about this though, since it’s possible the area is prone to a high amount of theft. Personally, I’m just way less likely to buy things if I have to ask an employee for help all the time, but others may not mind this.

I will bump my score up to 2-stars out of fairness though. The store was quite large with a wide array of stock, and I also thought the employee was polite, competent, and helpful. Just don’t expect me to come back when I know negligence has ruined...

If I could give a negative star I would. We showed up there at 11:15, their store sign said they would be back at 11 and their website says they open at 11. Let’s just say they lost business indefinitely. We waited till about 11:25 to leave because no one was there, we came ready to purchase a game system and nobody was there. Not the kind of business I want to give my money to when they can’t even be open when they advertise, that is disrespectful to customers, what kinda business are they running here. Needless to say, if you are looking for a more respectable place to purchase a game system (I wouldn’t know the price difference because I didn’t make it into game craze). Mr. Deals down the road on W Henrietta got us an AMAZING DEAL (while I mad that this place wasn’t open, I am also thankful they weren’t open when they said they would be. To Brett Patterson. Actually the person you were with and posting for. You entered the store at 4:43 to which I informed you I'm sorry but we start closing in 2 min. You said actually you close at 5 I responded yeah but we start closing at 4:45 and are out by 5 because we stop getting paid at 5, and you replied ok well we'll be out by 5. I thought that was rude so I kicked you out. I think most people wouldn't like hearing someone basically say I'm going to make you work 15 min for free if you don't like that take it up with your boss, and would feel offended. Most of the time when I tell people that information they respond in a ok I'll be quick and there is no problem. I think you need an additued check if I could rate you as a customer I'd give you 2 stars you even told me you used to work in Game Craze I have trouble believing someone who worked in retail would treat someone that way curious what you co-worker...
