Genesee Valley Park Playground For All Children — Attraction in City of Rochester

Heck, I'm an adult and I loved it! However, a few things for parents to note: there are two playgrounds for two different age sets. The smaller one is for ages 2-5, while the bigger one (if I remember correctly), is for ages 5-12. If in doubt, look for the ages on the equipment themselves. (It's there, I found them by accident). What I also really liked about it was the both playgrounds could withstand a 145 lb adult, though I would exercise caution with an adult playing on the playground. I also liked the rubber ground, since it was softer and squishier...

It's a beautiful place to ride your bike, jog, walk, walk your dog, sightseeing, bird watching. It's just beautiful. However, I don't recommend the first playground, it' has broken steps and other broken parts, which are dangerous. Also, there are some children who are regulars that will bully other kids out of the park yelling racial slurs and other stuff. Not safe. I've lived in the area for almost 5 years, and every time we go, something happens with these kids. There are no parents around to discuss he situation with....

This is a really cool playground. The equipment is unique. The climbing structure is thrilling to older school aged children and universally terrifying to moms, but in a good way. Mostly. Not far from the airport so you see a lot of planes going by over head, a but loud but really exciting to the kids. It’s about 5 minutes away from Golisano’s Children’s Hospital so it’s a good way to run off steam after a not so fun...
