"Lamberton Conservatory" was by far the MOST Beautiful and Serene Public Attraction Within the Rochester City Limits. Whether your interests are Horticulture, Biology, Agriculture, Simply Greenhouse Florals, Interior Landscaping or just wanting to escape the world outside; "Lamberton Conservatory" should be on your MUST SEE thru your own eyes. I was so tickled when I was being followed by a small turtle! It began following my feet while I was walking on the beautiful interior landscaped pathways. Every Size, Color and Scented Plant, Flower, Tree, Cactus, Turtle, Bird, Windchime, Rockery, Brickery, Interior Ponds and Trails. An Exquisite Indoor Nature Walk. When I return to Rochester next Spring, I WILL Return HERE Again!

Beautiful inside year round but the signage out front clearly makes it seem like they arent friendly to photographers which is sad in such a rich photography community. Drove 25 min for the walk in photo sessions advertised on the monroe Clcounty parks website only to find new signage saying theyve canceled until further with no notice on the site that theyve stopped the program. There appeared to be a number of other photographers and families disappointed at this changed who showed up this evening around the same time as I did. It appears since this morning they have since removed the advertised Tuesday evening photo sessionson their website but I've attached a screenshot from Google still listing at

As far as excitement goes kids will be most impressed, I certainly was as a kid. I mean it in the best way, but as far as conservatories go, this one is kinda small. If you're with adults sight seeing plan for 30-45 minutes to walk through. That being said I find it very pleasant. For a couple of bucks you can chill somewhere with pretty flowers, and cute turtles and birds, and I think that's dandy in an era where it costs a lot to be anywhere. It's a lovely place to go say in winter and be cozy and just appreciate some greenery. If you're looking for somewhere to pass a slow afternoon by yourself or with a friend I personally suggest it.

My family has enjoying The Lamberton Conservatory for several years. It's an exciting experience for young children to enjoy, but my young teen also enjoys it as well. There's a lot of history behind the conservatory and it serves as a place for both education and delight for all ages. The entry fee is very little and you can walk around as much as you'd like. There's plenty of parking and a bathroom with changing table (at least in womens bathroom). My daughters and i make a day of it-- beginning at conservatory, picnicing in park and walking the paths and gardens at Highland. It's a great day to 'stop and smell the roses'.

Beautiful conservatory with diverse plant life. Entry fee is only $3.00 for adults which is hard to beat these days. Lots of little birds and turtles milling around the enclosure. We brought out toddler and she had the time of her life pointing at all the plants and animals. There is also a beautiful park right next to it. The conservatory only takes 15 minutes if you take your time and appreciate everything. The park is the perfect place to bring a blanket and cooler for a picnic 😎
