The Conservatory is a wonderful place to visit. They have many button quails that run freely around the whole place, turtles with a few ponds, tortoises, and even a duck. There is a seasonal room, a warm room (I'm not sure what this room is classified as), a tropical room, a desert room, and a domestic and houseplants room. There is a courtyard that is closed in the winter. You can take off your coat and enjoy the warmth all winter long. There are often kids there with their parents, enjoying the flowers, and animals especially. There are benches scattered throughout, often with folks sitting and sketching or reading. Read moreBeautiful inside year round but the signage out front clearly makes it seem like they arent friendly to photographers which is sad in such a rich photography community. Drove 25 min for the walk in photo sessions advertised on the monroe Clcounty parks website only to find new signage saying theyve canceled until further with no notice on the site that theyve stopped the program. There appeared to be a number of other photographers and families disappointed at this changed who showed up this evening around the same time as I did.
