This was a nice spot to grab a bite after the lilac festival, or just if you’re in the area. There’s a nice selection of bar food. I had the wings, they were cooked nicely and juicy, though despite being buffalo garlic flavor, they didn’t have any heat at all. Mom got the shrimp appetizer and loved it, it looked great. I got a side of fries for us to split. I don’t know why I ordered a margarita in a beer spot, I did this to myself. I enjoy beer, I should’ve had one. I got excited about reading from the menu they had tajin on the rim of my margarita (many Mexican spots will have this), so I ordered that. It’s a jalapeño one but it was so tangy or sour. Not the tajin, just the drink itself. Next time, I’ll get a beer, I’ve learned my lesson. The women’s restroom is on the second floor, men’s is on the first floor. If you’re a lady and have a disability, call ahead, they may have an accessible one, or not, I’m not sure. For anyone that this may be a concern for, I’d recommend calling ahead to inquire. The inside of this place by the bar was pretty, the ceilings were vaulted and wooden, the have a little train that goes around but up high above the bar, much like Wegmans does, or at least some locations. It looks nice and definitely a great spot to catch a game. There were televisions all around the oval shaped central bar, but also at each table which is great.

The Distillery Restaurant Rochester is definitely a great place to go for good old hardy delicious food, a wide variety of drink options and lots of TVs to enjoy multiple games. It is the perfect place to meet friends or business associates. Their staff is consistently friendly and responsive. Food & Drink The Distillery Restaurant Rochester wings with the options of fried or grilled and a wide variety of sauce options make them my favorite wings in Rochester or Buffalo. I personally prefer them grilled with one of the sweat spicy or garlic parm sauces. Sometimes I split the order with different sauces when I can’t decide. They also have big burgers, pizza, tacos, salads, pasta, pitas, sandwiches, fish fries, etc. etc. Oh yes, and they have lots of beers to choose from, along with good wines and great mixed cocktails Convenient Location: The Distillery is located in the South Wedge close to U of R, College Town, MCC, Park Ave, I390 and The Center City. With expanded parking across the street, there is seldom need to park on the street. Atmosphere: The design of the building is pretty cool with a large bar and various levels of cozy booths and tables to meet friends or have a casual business meeting. It also has a deck when weather permits outside dining or drinks.

I’ve eaten here before and really enjoyed it, but unfortunately my recent take-out order was a big letdown. I got the same quesadilla I’ve ordered before — when I dined in, it was packed with ingredients, flavorful, and came with great service (they even gave me extra sour cream!). This time though, it was completely different. The quesadilla was really thin and barely had any filling — I only tasted a bit of cheese and peppers, and there were no tomatoes even though they’re supposed to be included. Half the time I was just eating the bread because it was so skimpy on ingredients. I usually ask for no peppers, but forgot this time, and honestly I’m glad I didn’t, otherwise my meal would've consisted of bread with a side of cheese. I was really disappointed — it felt careless to serve something so skimpy, especially when I’ve had such a great meal here before. Getting what was basically bread with a sprinkle of cheese for full price makes me think management might need to take a closer look at consistency and quality control.

Buffalo pizza tasted like the freezer it came out of. The rest of it didn't have much going on either. When my 22 year old son only eats half and doesn't want to take the rest home, it's bad. I was told they didn't have the gyro ( I was a bit leery anyway ordering it outside of a Greek diner, which is my norm) I was told the speedie platter was very similar. If both dishes are cooked correctly, they are worlds apart! Gyro is made with warm greek spices. Speedie is Italian in origin and is meat in a vinegar based marinade. Sure they served tzatziki sauce with the speedie, but that doesn't make it Greek, or right. The chicken was dry and the vegetables were burnt beyond recognition. I can see why they offer a suggestion for a second skewer for an additional charge. If the meat was delectable there really wasn't much of it and you might have wanted more. I did substitute fries for the rice pilaf. The fries were just ok. If they truly are trying to go a Greek way with the speedie I would recommend maybe tabbouleh instead of pilaf. Even though tabbouleh is lebanese it's getting you closer then pilaf. They served naan with the platter, which is from India. The flavor profiles jump around too much from one country to another. The naan they served was mostly burnt but I tasted one non burnt area. It wasn't like any naan I'd ever had anywhere else and I hope to never have that taste in my mouth ever again. best part of the speedie platter was the salad and that's not saying much because it was the kalamata olives that made it good. If there was feta it was pulverized. Some bigger feta chunks would have gone a long way. Again, speedie, tzatziki sauce, naan and rice pilaf?? Pick a cuisine. My husband however said his frittata was decent, but what does he know anyway. 😂. I've been here once before with my daughter who is at U of R. We had wings. Again, decent but not outrageously tasty. I think this place is better for people who mostly want to watch sports, drink, and perhaps have something to soak up the alcohol. There's a place for everyone. This just isn't, in my opinion, a food...

We had a Soccer Tournament in Rochester New York and travelled from Ontario, Canada. The team wanted to do a dinner together with players and families which being 50 people would be no easy task...so I thought... I looked at the reviews for The Distillery Restaurant, spoke to Liz and Coe who were Management and they got the task.

In can't tell you how thorough, seamless and accommodating they were to assist our large group. Menu was prearranged and sent 48 hours prior to our arrival. We also had two birthdays to celebrate and they assisted with two birthday cakes. We arrived and they placed us upstairs at the back and even had a separate section for the boys apart from the adults which was great.

I don't know the names of the two waitstaff but they were so amazing and assisted all of our needs. They hopefully will see this and know I gave them a special shout out!

They did their very best to have everything ready and everyone eating as close together as they could and the food was great. My wife loved her salmon and I had the Shrimp Street Tacos. I would say this: not one person raised any issues about anything.

The birthdays were celebrated and everyone commented to me on a job well done organizing this dinner....but the true thanks goes to the amazing staff and Management for hosting such a wonderful time.

I was told by the parents that if we return next year this is is the place we want to come back to: So you can't get a better review than that I think!

Honestly: Thank you so much for a job very...

On 12/09/22, my friend and I went to the Distillery at 6pm. We were put on a wait list and went to the bar. No problem as it was a Friday night and we were in no hurry. It was moderately busy. The younger, woman bartender passed us five times without any acknowledgement. The sixth time I made direct eye contact with her and asked if we could order drinks. She ignored us like we weren't even there. 20 minutes later and still no drinks or even acknowledgement. The buzzer rang letting us know our table was ready. We were seated upstairs in a nearly empty section. Our younger, tall waiter asked us if we'd like a drink and we informed him we've been wanting drinks for 20 minutes. He took our drink order and said he'd be right back with them. 10 minutes goes by and he asks us if we'd like to put in our entree order. We said yes but also would like the drinks as it's been 30 minutes now to get two beers. He said the bar is busy and "I'll see what I can do." Like he was doing us a favor. It hit an hour with no drinks. We left, I told the host what happened after he thanked us for leaving. His response: "I'm sorry". Left thirsty and hungry. Went to a competing establishment and had a wonderful, timely dinner.........and drinks!

I understand the current human resources situation the Biden regime has created, however, if you don't have the staffing, you shouldn't be taking on the same amount of customers as if you were...
