Central Park — Attraction in City of Schenectady

EDIT: i highly recommend not bringing your children to this park to play on the playgrounds. I've never heard so much swearing with the use of the N word. I am strict parent as to raise my children with respect. Also this past year ive never seen so many kids smoking weed at the playground. I really wish the park would have safety officers but of course with our high taxes they do not have money for it. I gave this park 3 stars and retracted it to a 1 star rating. I live next to it and all these kids want to do is wreck it. The basketball courts ruin this park with all the headaches, trash, and path of destruction they leave in its wake. Its a very fustrating situation to have to deal with. Come on Schenectady, get with the program here.

Very beautiful park. Rose garden is beautiful. Picknic areas with bbq pits, tennis courts, swimming pool, and disc golf is a huge plus. However, to many older kids in the children's play ground. I have been to quite a few picnics in the pavillion at Central Park. Everyone always had a good time. It's a wonderful facility. I've been to several concerts at the stage in the park, also. They were all a lot of fun. I like walking in the park for exercise. It's always clean and well maintained. I like how people clean up after their dogs. I've been to a concert in the Rose Garden. There was an art exhibition there at the time. I took some excellent pictures of the flowers in the Schenectady Rose Garden which I plan to use for sermon Power Point backgrounds. I used one to make a Mother's Day greeting. I've been to the pool several times. It's an excellent facility. Always very clean. Great place to take kids for a swim and a picnic. There are picnic tables and some grills. There are tennis and basketball courts. I shot baskets a few times at the basketball courts. Dog park is a go-to favorite! The regulars all know each other and our four-leggeds get along fantastic with the visitors! Enclosed fenced in area with strong chain link fence and lots of obstacles and just space in general even fir your pup or old timer to run around or simply blend in with the ground and bask in the sun.
