Fairgrounds YMCA — Attraction in City of Watertown

The establishment is well kept and is a great facility. The gym has new equipment and and is the facility is kept clean. Awesome indoor soccer turf fields. However I was asked to leave on multiple occasions by several workers/volunteers for not having enough money to enter the building. I was even approached in the locker room. Even though I’m a good person and chose a career in health and wellness and help people like perceptional learning or through conversations. I never have asked for any type of payment for being a good role model. It confuses me that a gym would continually pester me over 1 dollar to the point of letting a good person leave. Insane to think a Christian organization cares more about money...

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the consistent reservation of the basketball court for archery and pickleball activities at the YMCA. As a person who plays basketball daily, it's disheartening to see the primary purpose of the court being sidelined for other activities. With the downtown YMCA's closure, this facility now stands as the only YMCA in the area offering a basketball court. It feels unjust to have limited access to a dedicated basketball space due to continuous reservations for different sports. I urge the management to reconsider the scheduling to ensure fair and adequate access for people who plays basketball regularly...

My child was treated poorly in ninja warriors class. It’s taught by teenagers that do not know how to take care of children or take care of certain situations appropriately. The matter was brought up to the head person and she still has not contacted my husband or I due to the matter. We will be contacting again and conducting a meeting. I am very disappointed in the way these people handle children especially when I’m sitting there watching the entire situation and not be told once of what was occurring.
