Milam Park — Attraction in Clarkston

I love this park, but it's pretty messed up to close the park at dark in the age of Covid where we have to social distance and people generally DON'T while at the park during the day. Its not fair to families with children, who would like to utilize the park when its not overly crowded. We just moved to Clarkston, and one of the things I looked forward to was being able to go to the park with my children. However, with people not practicing social distancing or even trying to its not very fun anymore. I'm irritated because the police have shown up twice while playing with my kids on the swing. Not making a sound. Yet the police showed up saying someone was drinking beer and they had to change the rules because other people ruined it. Its not fair. Its very disheartening. My children were saddened but, I hope that things get better. I pray the parks become safer so we all can enjoy them at our leisure. I've never had any issues at this park and not sure when its been happening, but I'm a little upset that there are so many...

They need to hire older life guards cause the young kids they have there don't act out...like kids driving in the area that say don't do it there..the kids are so wild eating and leaving paper and food on the ground..the life guards when home and no one no it so a fight broke out me and another woman had to stop them.it was one young man there that work there stay and kept working..my hat off to him..and now I walk up there with my grids from hill st to find out that we can't get into the pool because it's a Schedule time and if the pool is full you can't get in.how do you no it's full.why can't we book appointments on line..to many young kids work there or have one older grown person to be there with them...

Milam park is great! On a nice day it'll be bustling with families and children playing games and hanging out. The Clarkston community does many events here so it is normal for there to be some sort of organized function going on. It does have one full sized tennis court and four pickleball courts. The courts are in good condition and the pavilions feel safe and clean. I would recommend Milam Park for anything from a pool party, birthday party, pickleball competition,...
