I heard about Refugee Coffee and I loved the idea behind this business. The whole concept is so refreshing and I’m so happy to support this business and to see it growing and expanding. I first went during the pandemic and there was a food truck or I guess you could say a Coffee truck in the parking lot as the store itself was not open outside next to the store in the parking lot is a food donation center where you can leave all kinds of food to donate and it’s free for those who need to take the food. That was what took me to refugee coffee at this location to drop off a Donation, we ordered coffee from the truck and pastry, I ordered a mocha latte and it was one of the best mocha lattes I’ve had ever and I’m a huge coffee fan. Not only does this business help the community, but gives to the community and I think many businesses would be wise to learn about Refugee Coffee and how it truly makes a positive impact in our community. The expansion speaks to the vision as a successful model for other businesses to follow. The staff and service were great as was the food and...

When I first started coming to Refuge it was little more than a food truck and a generator powering industrial-strength fans that forced hot summer air over a beautifully painted mural and some Ikea tables and chairs. This place reflects some of the best of things about Clarkston: small beginnings, but great people, great food, and a good heart. Today I had a Chicken Samusa and probably one of the best cups of espresso I've had anywhere in the world. If you want a treat-yourself experience, get the Almond croissant and a Cortado. You won't be disappointed.
Located conveniently in the heart of Clarkston with easy access to 285, a bike trail reaching from Stone Mountain to Avondale, and much more, this little spot should be at the top of your list of must-experience places. Grab a cup of coffee and a good conversation, and stay for lunch at one of the many amazing restaurants that are just a...
Read moreI don’t work here. I don’t even know a single person that does- but I am so proud of this organization for their stellar work at gathering a workforce and pouring into them. This company sees past language and culture barriers in one of the USA’s most unique communities of refugees! Their actual assistance provides living wage work and pay with actual promise for further development. The folks in the community have seen this place go from a corner gas station to a safe community space for all races to gather, meet, share needs, and connect on a soul level! I couldn’t be more excited for this establishment! We drove four hours one way just to get here and see it because we heard of it. And since then I have sent at least a half dozen locals down to pour into their work. It works- so we support it! You just have to catch the vision for...
