Bob's Army & Navy — Attraction in Clearfield

This has been one of my favorite stores since I was a kid. I would beg my dad to take me to Bob's and look at all the rifles and cool surplus stuff and camping gear. Now that I don't live in the area it's a rare event when I have time to get to Clearfield at all. When I was in high school it was worth driving to Bob's to buy paintballs because they had quality merchandise for surprisingly low prices. I sold my paintball stuff in 2005 so I don't know how relevant that is now. I went on Dec28 and bought myself a nice pair of boots and got my oldest daughter a pair of boots that should last her well into adulthood. Prices are great. If you have a need for camping gear, outdoor stuff of any kind, definitely check it out. It was the main source for all my boy scout needs in years past and remains in business for a reason. I've been to hundreds of other surplus stores since and they all suck...

The prices are typically on point or less than most gun shops. But the reason I keep coming back here is the staff. Whether I call or visit in person, they do not treat me like I don't know what I'm talking about just because I'm a girl, which happens at some of the other gun shops in the area. Not only that, but I went in looking for a specific gun and since they did not have it in stock, the employee suggested a gun store that he saw one in. I was so impressed, and I really appreciated that. You can also find some pretty cool military items for very cheap. It's always worth walking in just to see what they have. We went to Bob's Army & Navy for the first time. They didn't know us from Adam. We were looking at safes but went to the back of the wrong room. A saleman asked if we needed help. He showed us the inside and outside safes they had. He told us more than I went in wanting to know but found out stuff I need to know. We thanked him for his time and went and looked at another place. Their staff didn't acknowledg we even came into their store. Then the one guy started following us on our way out. Tell me if I'm looking at safes what can I stick in my pocket? Bob's we are coming back for that safe. We should have got it the first time...
