We went for the Valentines dinner that was advertised on social media as being available at 4 and that was advertised as not accepting reservations. Knowing it would be busy, We planned ahead and went at 3:30. When we arrived, I waited several minutes while staff were discussing where to place tables with reservations. We were then told it would be a 30-35 minute wait and were asked if we wanted to stay or wait outside and they would call my cell phone. I gave my cell #, put the volume on my phone up and checked it frequently while we waited 35 minutes outside and then went in to see how much longer it would be. I was informed by the hostess that she called my phone and as I didnāt answer, my name was crossed out and I would have to go to the bottom of the list again which was now about 15 names in front of us. There were 4 in front of us when we started. After asking her if she tried to call a second time and verifying the # she wrote down was accurate-I showed her my phone with zero calls from the Dented Keg. My husband also called my phone to be sure it was working-it was. The hostess was extremely rude to myself and my husband and kept repeating that it wasnāt her fault the call didn't go through and weād have to go to the bottom of the list. Apparently, itās somehow my fault I offered to go outside so the hostess area wasn't so congested and my fault the mysterious calls never made it to my phone after 2 tries with the correct #, working cell service, free space on my voicemail and volume on high. Needless to say we left and will never return. I called the manager to complain after and was told thereās nothing she could do. I didnāt speak to the manager while there as it was very crowded-the hostess response was escalating and there were 2 other staff members there who could have stepped in but didnāt, so really didnāt think it would make a difference to speak with a 4th person and really didnāt want more of a scene on a date night that weād been looking forward to for a couple weeks. In my experience, even McDonalds cares enough about their customers and reputation to offer some sort of discount or apology when a customer complains or mistakes are made. We live close by and have been in several times with food hit or miss as well as service. Quite a few people ask us about it since we live close by-will never recommend again and will be sure as many people know about our negative experiences as possible. Canāt wait for the new restaurant across the river to open. Hopefully theyāll train their people how to better handle customer service and their management will care about each customerās experience. Mistakes can happen-like dialing the wrong # twice-its all in how itās handled. Could have been a very easy fix to apologize and keep us in line for the next available table. After the treatment we received, a one star rating...

I suggested to my wife, āwe should call the restaurant and speak with the manager, explain what we endured and describe the poor services and offer to not leave a bad review, in exchange for a full refundā, but we felt that it was more important that we share our experience with the general public because this is our primary recommendation to any establishment we wish to experienceā¦
If the experience we endured is the best this establishment has to offer, I would say to the owner, reevaluate your team and leaders⦠this can only be a direct reflection of managementā¦

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere wasn't a lot to choose from on the menu. Mostly burgers and pulled pork. I found a pineapple chicken sandwich (Hai Hai) that was very good; even the pineapple had a smokey flavor to it. My aunt had a beef sub that she said was well seasoned and delicious. My sister had a BBQ pork pasta dish that was HUGE and well prepared. The prices seemed a bit high but the portion sizes made it well worth it. The atmosphere was great. The high tables towards the entrance were more of the pub vibe while the low tables near the windows with a beautiful view of the river was more of a restaurant feel. Our waitress was Ricki, and she was absolutely amazing! Drinks were refilled without any wait and she checked on us often enough to be helpful but not so often that it was intrusive. She was super nice and friendly and answered our questions without complaint. While I wish there had been more sub or salad options on the menu, I certainly have no complaints. It was an enjoyable experience with a great staff and...
