Bad experience. Unfortunately I thought I found a Black owned nail shop I could rely on - But I would NOT recommend!!!!! Take your $ and time somewhere else.
THIS is how they do a French tip!!!
I went for a gel removal and repolish. This whole service took OVER 2 HOURS!!! Typically I can get a manicure and pedicure done in under two hours at my regular shop. They also only do walk ins.
I got there at opening and was seen immediately which is great - however the girl who took me, Jaz, knocked an acetone bowl over me during the gel removal.
Then for about an hour and a half Jaz STRUGGLED with each tip - making them WAYYY TOO THICK (almost half my nail) and repeatedly told me they looked cute!!! Also while painting my nails she was continuously texting and answering phone calls when they have no cell phone policy for customers??
I was so frustrated that a simple manicure was taking that long. I needed to leave bc who has hours during the day to sit. I told her they looked terrible and she kept trying to convince me that what I was requesting was not a French tip, and that it was my nail shape that was the problem!
Annoyed I had to pay for this ridiculous look, I decided to have them fix my nails. I consider myself a professional person and cannot have a manicure that looks as trashy as these tips.
I saw some Google reviews from the company saying that if you are unhappy to come back for a fix. Great. I could give them a 2nd chance.
I showed the other techs my nails and they agreed that it did not look right. Jaz, offended kept coming up to the counter where I was getting the fix, clearly upset and kept asking me what the problem was. Trying to tell me again that she thought they were cute and that it was the shape of my nails that was the issue. I explained to her that the appointment had took way too long, she spilled a chemical on me, and then the nails STILL did not look right. I could tell she was embarrassed bc instead of being apologetic she sarcastically said -āI didnāt think they were bad⦠well can you tell her before she cures your nails if you donāt like it then.ā - at this point Iām not surprised at the unprofessionalism⦠2nd chance ruined. Instead of getting tips I got a regular color. It looked better, but did not last. I will not be back. Would NEVER suggest this place. Do not waste your time here. And DO NOT go to Jaz for a French...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst I will start by saying that this place is simply AMAZING!!! I flew in from Houston, TX in desperate need to get a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow arch. I saw the reviews and settled on this establishment. I called and spoke with Rain and she was so pleasant and stated I could come in. The salon in extremely clean, awesome environment, amazing staff. Carmen did my eyebrow arch and did a great job. Tiana was my nail tech. I told her that I wanted the dip technique she then consulted with me and advised that there was a more healthier option which was to use the vitamin D nail service. Best decision ever! Jasmin did my pedicure and was so nice and professional. She took really great care of me. My nails came out BEAUTIFUL!!!! The only problem I have is now that I have had this great experience and have to go back home to Houston.... who is going to do my nails now! I need Rain to franchise out in Houston immediately!!! I can't see myself going to anyone else at this point.... so when I come back to Cleveland with the same polish I want the staff to understand that there is no one else that could come close to their service so I refuse to short change myself anywhere else. I will be back in Cleveland in July and my first stop will be at A Touch of Rain Nail Spa and my husband said he will be coming as well. RAIN COME TO HOUSTON, TX!!!!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSince moving here is been so hard to find a decent nail salon without having to book a month almost in advance. I did have my nails done that I wanted to simply soak off and get a simple gel manicure. Upon entering the facility I was warmly greeted and directed to the back area where they quickly assisted me to start the soaking process. Several ladies throughout came to check in on the process which I thought was very nice. Once done soaking the nail tech walked me over to the gel polish station and following covid protocol requested that we had minimal touch of their products which I had no problems with. I say that she did a pretty good job. I left content with the price considering that prices are a lot higher for nail shops than in Texas which is what I was used to. Only thing is that I wish they would've directed me to wash my hands right after soaking. Instead went right into the mani. Even though I left content I was disappointed that only after 3 days my nails were chipping and that really was with no harsh things that I had done. But despite those little things if I would need a place to go, I would definitely try them again. Courtesy, friendliness goes a long way for me. Wish them the best in their black owned...
