I made an appt for a dip manicure with design and pedicure several days in advance. When I called a requested an experienced nail tech who could do 3d, ombré and free hand design. When I arrived 30 minutes early they started my pedicure right away which was great. A person started my pedicure, I showed her a chrome design I wanted on the big toe - she sd no problem. I also explained the design I wanted for my nails, she didn’t seem concerned. My tech took over mid pedi, I showed her the design. She filed down my toenails without asking and they are super short. She used foils instead of chrome on the design. It looked ok but she did not lay the foils flat so they are hard and already scratched my bf while sleeping. Pedi took 1.5 hours which is long for a gel pedi.
The incomplete manicure took 4 hours would have been longer if I hadn’t ended it. I get my nails done every two weeks a full soak off with design, and it has never taken more than two hours, even for more complicated designs. Tech talked me into dip fill instead of soak off and replace. I showed her design, explained the shape and texture of my nails were very important to me. I showed her the design told her if she was uncomfortable I could pick a different design that she felt she could accomplish well. She had no concerns with the design except for one line. I also stressed that these were my real nails, so the shape was very important because if they were uneven or crooked I would have to get tips to fix them or cut them down and I just stopped biting my nails a year ago so I didn’t wanna have to get them cut down. She did the dip on one hand first and the color, specifically the ombre was not good. You could also tell on some nails where it was a fill because the color was off where the fill was done. She appeared to be flustered, and I told her if she would prefer to do the ombré/color in gel, we could do that. She agreed, but when we went to pick out colors, she asked another tech if she knew how to do ombre. So she did not know how to do the style we discussed nor was she qualified based on what I asked for when I made the appointment. I let her finish the dip fill on the other hand without plain nude dip but noticed my nails were lopsided and not shaped the same. At that point, I asked her just to paint with a gel polish and not do the design. After two coats of polish there was bubbling, you can see tool marks on my nail and fuzz from someplace that got stuck to multiple nails. I asked her not to do a topcoat because I knew I would need to go get these redone and given, I had already been there for 4 hours there was no sense in wasting any more of her or my time. She only charged me for the pedicure and for a dip fill but honestly, I think that was too much. I am going to have to get the pedi polish redone to get the foils off, the dip soaked off and redone as well as getting one nail cut down and a tip put on. I also spent from 12:30-5:40 in the salon, total waste of...
Read moreSo a little background; I lived in Vegas for 35 years. Surrounded by the best in the biz. I now live in rural PA, a long way from any nail salons. A few that are around a half hour from me, are just not attentive like I am used to. I went to visit my Mom in Fairfield Park, and from what I gather is a middle class neighborhood like you find all over America. I told my mom I wanted to get a pedi when I came to visit, and asked her for a recommendation. To my utter surprise she said she had never had one! So I looked online a bit, but got busy, so couldn’t nail down an appt. Pun intended. I got to her house and told her we were going to get some pedi’s. First place I called, no appts, then I saw “Nailed It”, loved the name, called and found they had room for two. Took a second to find some parking, but I’m not familiar with the city at all. Mom has dementia, so parking may be easier for you. We parked on a side street, walked less than 50 yards to salon. Greeted with a bright smile from girl at the desk, great start. What I imagine was the young girl, 35 or so, running the place asked which service we were looking for. She set up two techs on my mom and I. We had a wonderful time relaxing and just talking. My mom, of course asked lots of questions, about everything from the girl’s tattoos to what was the scrubbing pad she was using. Very friendly they interacted with her. Not that it matters to me, as my kids are both half Latino, English was spoken throughout the visit. Personally it’s been a long time not hearing the language and I would have enjoyed it, but for those of you who care, there you go. They spent some more time on my mom than I, and that’s just fine with me. Overall I enjoyed everything about the visit. Good price, good service, and of course, a nice pedi. Walking like a new man. P.S....
Read moreBEWARE:OWNER OVERCHARGES!!!! Let me start off by saying the young ladies who did my nail set and my pedicure was amazing. Took their time, made corrections when asked, and was friendly. Had it not been for the owner over charging I would have went back.
My problem is with the owner. She was doing a nail set about the same time I was getting my nails done and when she was done went to ring the woman out. The woman told the owner she didn’t have a lot of money and the owner told her she wasn’t charging her for all the designs she did and charged the girl 80 dollas. Then goes and does another set but she charges this girl 130 for a plain short set and pedi. Then while I’m still getting my nails done she’s asking my nail tech what all I’m getting so she can set my receipt up before she leaves for the day. I got a medium set with French tips and a pedicure. That woman charged me 170 mind you the pedicure is only 40. My point of saying all of this she’s collecting half of what the overall price is so if she’s cutting corners for people she knows she will up charge a stranger to collect where she is falling short. She has so many good reviews because she will give you a discount the next time you go back. So be mindful ladies. You Gon spend your money where you see fit but I just wanted to make people aware.
Response (Because I got time today): Ma'am your prices are your prices, and someone will gladly pay them. For the people who are unaware you have high prices that is who my rating is for because yo prices is high. You encouraging people to check your website I think you need to check it as well because your express pedi is 40 dollas. Anyhow: for the people please be aware of her prices and make sure you ask in detail what you are paying for so your not bombarded...
