Crystal Nails — Attraction in Clifton

I have been coming here since I was 14-15 years old. I have always been pleasant to the employees, contrary to the fact that they keep passive aggressive attitudes. Sue, always sleeping, never willing to do a job; I have even watched her refuse one at the door. Of my 5-6 years of being a very loyal customer, yesterday was the day that ended. My first time ever getting the man, Ben i believe is his name and he was incredibly rough with me; I was very uncomfortable as my hand was being bended ways that I have never seen a person do nails, or treat their customers this way. I was very hurt, uncomfortable, and had cramps in my hands. He was yanking my arms forward, not polite at all. And nor was his wife or sister, I'm not sure the relation. The way Sue speaks to her customers is vile, she answers the phone so hostile. I finally had the courage to tell hi, "you're hurting me, can you please calm down. I have been coming here for a very long time and I have never had anything like this" He looked at me like a deer in headlights, and then Susan started speaking for him trying to make up excuses. A random lady inside the store started screaming at me next. All because I said he was being aggressive with me, and started crying too. Such a horrible experience. You would think after going for years they would be a little nicer. Not at all. Do not go here. They don't care about their loyal customers, they don't even care about their business. Super...

It got really great reviews so I made an appointment for 3 gel manicures. I made the appointment on Saturday to make sure they had time for Sunday at noon. They confirmed. I live twenty five minutes away and didn't have a car so I took an Uber with my mom and grandmother. When we arrived, they were FULL. No one was at the reception so I asked the woman who seemed to be in charge. She seemed surprised they even offered appointments and left us standing there awkwardly until I asked for the 3rd time. Finally someone got up and looked at their appointment book. They had me in there for 3 gels at 12 but clearly couldn't take us they asked us to come back at 3, FOUR HOURS LATER. I said no. Even if we wanted to there was no place to sit. Not sure what the point of making an appointment is if they're not going to honor them but I'm for sure never coming back. Total waste of...

Tried this salon for the first time yesterday and so glad I did. I was so tired of trying to explain how I like my acrylic nails to the overpriced salons in the Nutley/Lyndhurst area.

The pedicure was AMAZING. This was the regular pedicure and it felt like a spa pedicure. I can't wait to go back for my next pedi. Very relaxing.

The girl that ended up doing my acrylic new set listened to what I wanted. This is a big deal for me because I am very particular about how I like my nails. I naturally have a wider nail bed and I don't like my nails to look chunky or thick. She took her time and did a great job. I would recommend you go when you have the time for a full set or fill in. Manicures seem to go quicker naturally based on what I saw while I was there but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED hidden gem of a place. Look forward to my next visit. Thank you ladies for a great...
