Tldr: great place to buy flowers. Hanging baskets, veg starters, and fresh animal products. Friendly helpful staff. Parking is horrible.
Flowers- they have a variety of hanging baskets, small potted plants, vegetable plants, decorative grasses, and cactuses. The variety was not great when we went, but we also went the day before mothers day. My family usually gets their mothers day hanging baskets from here and usually it's a pretty good selection. The flower selection was not the best but the vegetable plant selection was really great, lots of types of squash, herbs, and even pickling cucumbers! The cactus selection was pretty good as well. A good variety of different types, those were in the checkout shed so if you're looking for a cactus make sure you look at the plants in the shed. The prices here are good, and we ended up buying 4 large baskets for $60.
Animal products- in the checkout shed there are several freezers across the back with a variety of types of meat you can buy. They also have signs against the wall advertising to sign up to get a turkey, which I know are pretty popular. There were also two refrigerators full of farm fresh eggs ready to buy.
Parking- the parking here is horrible. It's right across the Jacksonville fire department and it's a pretty high traffic busy area. There is only parking available on the size of the road. There's room for like 4 cars easily but if it's too crowded I usually will pass it by. Great when it's a little raininy and you're the only person there. Anxious parkers beware.
Overall this place is really nice and we will continue getting our hanging baskets from here...
Read moreI was told pickup from the Annapolis site was 2 to 6 today. I got there at exactly 2:00 p.m. There was one other person and another came right after me. The gate into the Pavilion was locked and no sign of you all. One of the women was able to reach someone who said you were in traffic and should be there in 20 minutes.Since there was no place to park we left. I went across the street to the pharmacy and returned 20 minutes later to find a line of people (15) in the Pavilion waiting to get their purchases. Therefore, I had to stand in the cold for 45 minutes until my turn. Perhaps you could get Anne Arundel County to open the gates at your original start time. I am looking forward to tasting...
Read moreWe’re lucky to have this family farm in our area. I just picked up my fresh Thanksgiving turkey and the market is full of pies and other baked goods, produce, jams, cider, and even gifts/decor like blown-glass pumpkins. While I was there they were putting out cauliflower, brussels sprouts and romanesco that had just been harvested. I ordered the turkey ahead on their website and pick-up was really organized. Everyone working was friendly and happy to help. 10/10...
