Four Corners Crabs — Restaurant in Maryland

We've purchased food from Conrad's in Jacksonville on three occasions, and I have to say I'm happy to have them in a fixed location in the area. They've had a truck operating in the area, but made the decision to invest in a solid structure, which was a wise one.

This past visit, we took advantage of their "buy one, get one free" crab cake sandwich promotion. Ordering was prompt and staff member was friendly. He asked me how I wanted them, baked or broiled. He also asked about toppings. It was great to have someone who walked me through the options rather than assuming what I wanted.

Food took about 10 minutes, which is about average for a freshly broiled crabcake. If it were any faster, I would be a little worried that it was undercooked. Everything came out as ordered, including putting lettuce in containers on the side (a thoughtful touch).

Food portions were appropriate for the money and value was great. The crab was juicy and moist and seasoned well. We loved the yellow tartar like sauce on the side.

My only constructive feedback with this location is that while there is plenty of adequate room to eat, waiting for food can take time and it's an outdoor location. Yesterday it was 30 degrees. Waiting outside for 10 minutes for food was quite cold. There are no heaters to stay warm. Likewise, in the summer time, it can get quite hot, and there is no shade nor fans. It would be helpful to have an area to wait that wasn't so uncomfortable. I was tempted to return to my car but then I wouldn't know when my food was ready. Consider either a climate controlled waiting area or maybe even a system where I could receive a text when my food was ready.

Otherwise, fantastic experience. I'm really happy to have Conrad's in the community. I know when family comes in from out of state, it's the first request they have -- where can we get some outstanding Maryland seafood. This has become our new...

We had such a fantastic first experience at Four Corner Crabs! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, friendly, and super helpful. We ordered a big batch of crabs along with several sides, and everything was delicious—especially the crabs, which were absolutely huge and packed with flavor.

It was our first time cracking crabs with our kids, and the restaurant made it easy and fun by providing the paper and all the setup we needed. It was a total success and created such a memorable family moment.

The wings were also a hit—so much so that my son insisted we compliment the chef (so here it is: amazing job!).

I am disappointed that we didn’t have a better experience. On September 1 we decided to try this Conrad’s location. The person that answered the phone was curt, but I just assumed they were super busy. My husband picked up our order of one and half pounds of steamed shrimp and drove home. When we opened the bag it was only a half a pound of shrimp that were overcooked (shells were hard to remove). I called and the same person said, “You can drive back, right?” I said no because it was 20 minutes and we were just going to make due. She never apologized, just said she would leave a note for the manager. I have called twice, still no manager. It has been 11 days, so I’ve decided to give up...
