Brown Family Environmental Center — Attraction in College Township

I've been passing This lovely Spot for Years that just happens to be about where I make My turnaround on My Kokosing Bike Path Walk! Then one late afternoon I heard some lovely songbirds coming from the Environmental Area and I spotted a quaint small bridge that beckoned Me in the direction of My "feathered friends"! Alot of time and effort has been spent caring and tending This property! Don't do as I did and allow This Lovely spot to go unexplored! As someone who spent the majority of His Life in Licking County, I'am always impressed and nearly amazed by the difference between the two counties WATERSHED! Both the Air and Water up here are fresher and cleaner. Between This lovely Spot, QUARRY CHAPEL, Kenyon College and the village of GAMBIER Itself, You couldn't ask for a nicer Way to spend an afternoon!! Thanks...

There are so many ways to enjoy the BFEC! My family is looking forward to trying as many as we can. We visited the pollinator garden twice this week (August) to see the abundance of flowers in bloom with butterflies gliding around them.There are at least six well maintained trails to explore and family-friendly educational programs throughout the year to watch out for. I personally look forward to the Fall Festival every year. You can feel how much the staff & volunteers that manage this huge preserve love it & our community. This place was definitely an unexpected pleasure. There were quite a few trails here that offered different varieties of nature and scenery. The views at the top of the hill was really nice. The pine tree forest was also really nice. There was a very cool scenic bridge that you can go under and walk across. Trails are very well maintained and well marked.
