Songbird Karaoke — Attraction in Collingswood

I love Karaoke and I had been to this place a couple of years ago in one of their smaller rooms. It was so much fun. This time around, I decided to go with their biggest room called the “Symphony”. I chose this room because it had a huge stage, lots of seating, and I didn’t want us all to be crammed into a small space. This room was perfect. Once there, the young lady was so nice. She updated me on all of the features with the iPad and how to work the system and the many options of music we could choose from. We immediately began having fun, but the television monitors kept going blank during each song. I went and informed the staff and the guy stated it was just a loose wire. He came to fix it and we were in the clear for an hour or so, but it kept happening. Another issue we kept having were the mics. They kept turning off or no sound would come out of them. We kept having to switch mics. We also called the staff about that and we were told it was fixed, but the issue kept happening. At this point we didn’t care. We were having fun, but there was a lot of issues with the equipment. Another aspect I didn’t like is that we aren’t allowed to bring in food. You can bring a cake, but no outside food. However, they offer you the option to purchase food from restaurants near by which is crazy expensive and the facility charges you a 12% convenience fee. So you have no option but to go with their food options. The food options also aren’t party friendly. You can’t order the food in bulk. Many of the options are single portions and this makes it even more expensive if you have a larger party.

In all, we had a great time and I would go back again. I just wish we had the option to supply our own catering and functional equipment.

Our birthday guests had great time! Staff super nice and accommodating. Party package is definitely way to go. Although they provide unlimited sodas, ice bucket, water and snacks they also had extra things on hand that helped like 2 bday candles, lighter, cake cutter, utensils, hand sanitizer, mic covers, masks, disinfectant wipes, decorations, iPad and extra mics upon request. We had Harmony room and much larger than pics online with coat rack, modern lit restrooms, lobby with chairs, adjustable lighting and temp. Would def come back and sounded like all other rooms booked were having just as great a time all around us. For the price you actually do get a good value for having a private room. We had dinner reservations after elsewhere but the catered food deliveries are available from local restaurants and they let us bring our own cake with a fee, no charge for byob. Only thing if I had to suggest would be have more snack trays/buckets on every table because guests had to reach across one another or cut in front of screen to share cause only one or two of each were supplied for our midsize group room and had to leave room to get staff to request refills though unlimited. Tonight was one of the birthday parties I’ve ever had! I was able to book online and pay the balance ahead of time. It was so easy. My group of eleven had an incredible time, and we really didn’t want the two hours to end-so we decided to stay longer, and we paid for another thirty minutes. If we all didn’t have to leave for other commitments, I’m sure we’d have been there even longer. I felt like a star-in fact, we all did. We had a blast with the tambourines and 2 microphones. Plus, the song list is huge so that was good for my friends with a more “eclectic” taste in music. The remote to change the volume was helpful. The louder it got, the more fun we had! Glad that there was a fridge in our room, and the couches were roomy and comfy. Staff was helpful, and very accommodating-especially with the thermostat . It did get very warm in our room but they were helpful and were able to lower the temp. It was wild that there were a couple of other parties there at the same time, but you’d never know it from our suite. We felt like we had the place to ourselves, until we went to the hallway and heard everyone having their own fun in their suites. We will be back!!...
