Wow! I've been visiting this place for the past 16 years and just now realized that is it called Steamboat Rock. I always referred to it as balanced rock. It's definitely worth a visit, but try to go at an off time during the week rather than during peak times on the weekend. It can get crowded and there is limited parking available. You can also hike over there from other parts of Garden of the Gods park if you can't find parking. It's tempting to only drive by it since it is close to the road, but it is worth getting out of your vehicle and walking...
