I love this place. Let me preface by saying I don't have a huge number of libraries to compare it to: northside, parsons, main, grandview, bexley, shepard, come to mind.
this is my favorite for a few reasons: nice staff, adult snack packs, high ceiling bathrooms (we need ventilation some of us), good charging center, adult lounging area (columbus always makes sure kids and teens have everything first, then they get the grown folk--as it should be), quiet study rooms one can reserve, a narcan box on the wall with all things immediately related included, desks with computers, desks without computers, plenty of plugs everywhere....everywhere. (i love being able to charge my laptop, portable battery, speaker, and phone at the same time :) )
when i went to whetstone the other day for the first time since the 90s (i think) and realized quickly how lucky I was. i had lived driving park until recently and now I spend more time in the neighborhood than when I was a resident haha.
i went to bexley (will admit to a giant bias against the town) libtrary just before that and it was comical how poorly they stacked up. when I asked in bexley what resources they had for we without housing,. "If you go down the stairs, and to the left, there is a desk right there with lots of papers." those directions led me to discover that "lots of papers" actually referred to a bunch of copies of the street resource sheet that goes over stuff in the city. none of it happens in bexley. so what they are actually telling you is to leave.''''
there was more, but oh...
Read moreI'm giving a one-star review because there's no way to legitimately send a message to the library in question. I accidentally left something there and I'm trying to at least give a message to you know make sure it was saved or whatever and I can't even email them because they're stupid captcha is broken right now so you can't even send a message then they don't even have phone numbers to leave messages first off how many people are really going to be calling a library like that so yeah we have to get away from this Automation and...

I asked a librarian if there were two levels and she responded no. Nice kid section. There are no large oversized bookshelves, and they were nicely organized. Nice carpeting. Nice computer set up. Comfortable study area. Decorated study rooms. Nice size conference rooms. Decent size parking space. Bus stops in front of the...
