Columbus Metropolitan Library: Northern Lights Branch — Attraction in Columbus

This is a very open library, with various areas that serve kids, teens, and adults. There is a computer lab and a quiet study space, and a space designated for homework help. There is a lot of seating for students who are looking to study. Lots of windows, which makes it a wonderful library.

Really? Just really? That is what you rebuild the old one as and dare call a "library". It is one of the ugliest, uninviting structures imaginable. I get that it has to be cavernous and entirely open-concept for security purposes since it is now basically a free internet cafe. But the horrid 60s futuristic design? It is so stark, cold and sterile - like a place where one would get a root canal or vasectomy. At least there is a video game area because you know that needed to happen. Recently rebuilt And just perfect inside! The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's a ton of resources waiting inside...more people should support and utilize our local libraries... You can use the computers... Make copies and print at a very low cost... You can fax papers...for FREE! Which is a lifesaver if you don't have access otherwise to these things.
