Hot Tips Nail&Spa — Local services in Columbus

My tech did an ok job not great and I had to even them out and resharpen them when I got home but the real problem was when I paid I left her a tip on my card it wasn't much but its what i could give sorry 😞 and by the time I reached my car my bank informed me of the charge with an amount that was a few dollars more than my receipt and when I went back and asked they said it was a card hold fee and would be returned in 24 hours. I immediately called my bank and the said no that's the charge that's been put through on their end as they don't place any holds on any transactions except what's been processed by the business my bank then adjusted the approved amount with an emailed copy of my receipt and a formal dispute. This new amount means my tech took it upon herself to DOUBLE her tip. I know it won't matter much as they seemed really busy but unfortunately I can't return here and take the chance they'd try this again as I'm a single mom with 2 jobs on a very tight budget and just wanted to have my nails filled (I don't even have them painted just filled) I hope you have a great...

I generally don't do this but...I went here because my grandmother and a lot of my family goes here they said they did a great job so that's what I expected. I'm in the service industry so I always tip well. But apparently they must judge on how people look and assume that they're not going to. I had the girl who's booth is on the end by the TV I don't know if it was her first day but I got a very simple fill and my nails look TERRIBLE and are crooked I did not get anything difficult and I'm very displeased with my experience at this place. I literally left crying I would never go back nor would I recommend it for anybody. 😞(And she still got a $10 tip because I'm too nice ) So maybe she should learn not to judge people and give everyone quality work! I'm literally so upset and mad I wasted $52 dollars...

I’ve only been to Hot Tips once because it’s a little far from my condo, about 20 minutes w/ light traffic (I live in Polaris) I was in the area & my regular place was booked. The salon was PACKED, which is a good sign because that means they’re good at what they do. I did have to wait about an hour, but it was definitely well worth the wait! They were clean, friendly, professional, and accommodating while I waited. The prices are average, especially for very good quality. The only reason I gave 4 ⭐️ vs. 5 is because of the wait. It was my fault though, because I was a walk-in on the busiest day, Saturday.
