Ginevra Cafe — Restaurant in Columbus

Food: The chicken meal was very tasty. They brought out soup and water when we sat down. The soup was a surprise and really good. Didn't know there was soup included with the meal. Think it was a squash soup. They didn't say. Service: The complimentary water is a nice touch. After my friend and I purchased drinks with our meals at the counter. To have soda and water was great. Atmosphere: The restaurant looks run down from outside and is not much better inside. The tables were clean, but the walls, floors, and window hangings looked dingy. The booths had plastic on tables from Covid times. That needs to go. The plastic is peeling up. There were "leather" couches to sit at. I would not, personally. They were low and dingy, too. We thought the location was probably an old national restaurant. Sat empty for a while. They painted it all white but haven't updated since. Need to declutter and clean behind counter....

It’s been years since I been to this place , I’m talking about yearssssss today was the first time in years that I went there and had their food , and let me just say this, the food was nasty no taste whatsoever no flavor nothing On top of that, they had a nasty attitude and I’m talking about nasty including the owner. That was there. He had a very nasty attitude because I had a non-Somali person with me and It was terrible literally I was like this is the reason why I stopped going to this place because of their nasty attitude and how racist they are and how nasty their food is, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I was like let me just go back and maybe you know they changed and their food changed and it’s been years you know maybe things it’s different now no, it’s not same thing I am never going back there ever again and I hope whoever reading this to not go there you will...

I was recommended to this place by a friend. You might feel sceptical about the place but the food tastes surprisingly good and the staff are really nice and flexible. We ordered goat and lamb with rice and spaghetti. They served us both the orders in one big tray. I loved the goat bone in pieces and rice. Lamb shank was good too but didn't like the spaghetti much. Their flavors are different than Indian or American steak. They serve their food with complimentary soup, banana and juice/water. Will come back to try their beef...
