Lake Lure Green Space — Attraction in Columbus

I had the luxury of walking my doggy every single day on these greens. The one thing I found disheartening is how many owners/ dog walkers do not pick up after their dogs. This place provides complimentary bags and receptacles, so no excuses. Most of the people I saw actually live here, I would think they would care more but???. Repurposed golf course is an excellent place to take a walk. Dogs allowed on leash. My only complaint is that there are people breaking this rule. That makes things unsafe for everyone and for wildlife. Also, not everyone avails themselves of the provided poop bags to clean up after their dogs. This is a beautiful green space with both paved and dirt trails. Dogs are allowed if they are on a leash. There are benches and picnic tables scattered along the trail. I do a loop that’s about 7,000-8,000 steps but shorter or longer options are available.
