Universal Auto Parts & Salvage — Attraction in Columbus

This company discriminates against its customers based on the dollar amount you're spending. They didn't have any problem taking over $400.00 from me for a hood previously, but when I needed to purchase a $50.00 part they said it was not worth the trouble. They even wanted to overcharge me for the part. How difficult can it be to get mud guards (not inner fender liner) off a vehicle? Ofcourse they wouldn't let me get it myself which is understandable due to safety reasons. They sent me away and advised me to call back saying that it would be a while before someone can get the part off the vehicle. I called back within 2 hours and was told that they don't have the part even though it was confirmed that they had it while I was at their location. I will not recommend doing business with a company that cherry picks their customers based on the dollar amount...

Currently having to do a run-through of my SUV,after due to Reverse Polarity by a Shop Replacing a Starter.... Needing an Alternator and Traveling through Columbus I called Universal Auto Parts and they had multiple items available.Having done the same thing the Day before in the Rockford Area, with their having brought one that appeared to have been a Flood Vehicle, I was overlated to find U.A.P. brought out a New One, Recently Rebuilt, which was not a cheap Retail Chain Brand. Also picked up a ThrottleBody for the same Reason..Both Work Great and now SUV is running at 14v whereas the old Alternator was only at 13.4-13.7v..Before failing a Week Ago....

Waste of time,called twice to verify they had the part I needed before we drove 30 minutes to pick it up and several times made sure the make and model were correct. We got there and off course it was a miscommunication that we were told happens all the time, in which case I felt, rather than them tell us how to say something they should know to ask a 2000 Ford explorer didn't mean 2004 explorer ,I actually t repeated 2000 at least 2-3 times both times I called, then they sent us to another shop for the same part that was supposedly 5 minutes away was actually about 15 minutes in the ghetto and the part they tried to sell us was complete trash, huge waste of time,I called universal back the girl was unapologetic ,I don't...
