GameStop — Attraction in Concord

Seems like a decent place, cashier seemed decent I guess, except for my trade in being wrongfully turned down. I wanted to trade in a switch that had all of the components but no box and the cashier wouldn’t allow it because apparently a case-less console (Switch in this case) is a “modded” switch. I’ve never heard that before. If you read anywhere online that is deemed as untrue by every GameStop associate I’ve seen post regarding this matter meaning that they would typically be completely willing to accept it. That is, unless this GameStop has its own separate guidelines. Which to be fair, it might, I just find it weird. So to anybody thinking of trading in something without the box/case: Try another GameStop. Because apparently your item is “modded.” Also as a side note, the cashier may have misunderstood me, idk how, or if I wasn’t clear enough but I’ll take that possibility into consideration. Just seemed like she was so sure in what she was saying, didn’t want to understand what I was saying, and just tried to tell me what was what. Happy holidays! This store manager loves to accuse people of stealing games then trying to exchange them for the same game but different platform. Not only was I accused of this in front of my 11-year-old son today (the game was a gift for my birthday on November 29th), I was also asked to open this mint game to exchange it for store credit of like $12 and to spend an additional $25 for renewal of game stop card. The manager was extremely rude and when I told her how awful it is to accuse honest people of stealing especially in front of their children, she got ticked off and so I called her an accurate choice of name and let her know who I knew she was after my son made his purchase. We will be doing our business elsewhere from now on, don’t give this place your money they’re scammers; I had even empathized that I was upset over GameStop policies and not with her but she kept digging a hole so I let her fall in it. I come in here pretty often because Walmart next door. Made it such big issue for me physically look at few GameCube games Cool you can’t hand it to but atleast put it in the counter and so exam for myself
