Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Concord

I really truly don't like complaining about things, but the experience I had warrants this review. I ordered through doordash on Friday, Dec. 16th 2022. None of the following is the fault of my dasher, he did his job just fine and had no impact on the following.

How this restaurant could look at what they packaged to send to me and deem it okay is beyond my comprehension. I'm really hoping this was a one-off/bad night, but I won't be ordering again to find out. My quesadillas arrived horribly burned. They were completely charred black and crumbly, and they were the tiniest quesadillas I've ever seen from any restaurant. I had a rough day and had decided to splurge on churros, but they might as well have been sticks of coal for how burned they were. They were entirely inedible and the ice cream I paid extra for didn't arrive with them either. I genuinely don't understand what happened with my order. My order of queso didn't come with chips, which is disappointing as that's pretty standard. The food I received that night was absolutely not worth even half of what I paid for it and I hate that this was my experience, as I truly wanted to like my food. I love trying out different local businesses and supporting them as much as possible. I frequently order a lot of mexican food, but I won't be ordering from here again. I will be sticking with Los Arcos and El Amigo in Kannapolis...

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I had issues with the food all around. I called several times and attempted to rectify the situation for over a week, only to be given the runaround every time someone answered the phone. I was finally advised to come to the restaurant if I wanted a refund. I was given no specific time that the manager/owner (I was told it's the same person) would be in, so one would ascertain that he would be available at the restaurant at 3pm. However, when I arrived (I live 2 hours away and explained this to the guy who told me to come to the "restaurant") I was told he wasn't there and would be in later. I asked the guy I spoke with if he could call him to see if he would come in early since I was already at the restaurant and his response was that he'll be in at 4, sometimes it's earlier and sometimes it's later. As for the food, part of my order was incorrect and part of it tasted OLD. One would think that spending over $40 at someone's establishment would at least earn you the decency of the person supposedly in charge giving you a call back. I would especially think so when the last conversation you have with someone from the establishment let's you know that they've talked about the situation at hand. I was honestly not impressed with this restaurant. There are dozens of Mexican restaurants to choose from, and I don’t believe it is worth going to this restaurant in particular. The food itself was fine, nothing special. My friend’s margaritas, she said , were really good and strong. I will say that we had a group of six, and we slowly trickled in which I’m sure can be frustrating for wait staff. However, once our whole party was there, it took an additional 35 minutes for us to wait on the waiter to come back to the table for our orders. In the amount of time it took for us to receive our food, was definitely the longest in the local area for Mexican cuisine, and the food trickled out person by person. Unfortunately, the couple that was waiting the longest for the rest of the party to show up, were the last to be served, by at least 10 minutes from the time that the rest of us got our food.

Additionally, I asked for refills on water three times, which actually never came from the waiter himself. I walked into the bar area and asked for a pitcher of water. Upon receiving this myself, and refilling our waters again myself (I had no problem doing it) , the pitcher was promptly removed by said waiter from our table.
