SO happy this was the first shop I went to. They create the best experience. My stylist (and I wish I remembered her name) was so sweet! First they sit and chat then they let you pull 5 dresses that catch your eye, this allowed her to gauge what I like, which other stores I went to didnât listen or care to hear. She would pick out the things I liked versus didnât like and every single dress got better and better. She made be feel so comfortable and pretty. She didnât feel overly pushy like BUY THIS DRESS but gave us input that felt genuine, and that I could trust her feedback. I also had a prior injury to my shoulder which she didnât know about, but the way they try dresses on was so helpful. She would get it ready, open it up, create a hole laying on the ground so I could see the ground and step into it and she would pull the dress up from the back and if she needed help I would pull from the front. One this kept their sample dresses in fantastic condition compared to the stores I went to next, BUT it also made trying on easier for me. I went to other stores where they handed them to me and walked away. My shoulder was in pain from pulling them up(and I even started to tell stores I needed help and they still wouldnât do what this store did). This also kept our space clean because she would hang it up before the next one came out. She also took her time zipping/ tying/buttoning me in so I could see the fit correctly, if the dress didnât fit perfectly she had a panel of fabric to cover my back side so I wasnât exposed. I am SO lucky this was my first experience, I walked away so happy. While I didnât find THE dress she made me feel comfortable and confident as my first appointment to continue along. AGAIN. I wish I knew her name she was AWESOME! (It was two girls working Friday the 25th at 5:30p for whoever reads these!). I went to two appointments after this and was shocked at how poor the customer service and experience was compared to this store. I quite literally had to end one half way through in tears from feeling body shamed. Which this store did NOT do. 10/10 recommend Allure Bridal. Honestly I still havenât found my dress and am considering going back if I donât find it in my upcoming appointments because we have an even better idea of what I like and I had no doubts she would listen and help find what the others were missing. Thank you so much for making the experience my favorite, one I felt beautiful and...
Read moreDO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU ARE LARGER THAN A SIZE 6. Horrible experience for a plus-size bride. I called ahead tp ask specifically how many dresses they had in my size in order to avoid the humiliation that comes with plus size wedding dress shopping. They confirmed 2 different times that they had over 30 dresses in my size (24W) and many in the brand I was specifically inquiring about. When I arrived, they pulled size 12-16 dresses for me without my knowledge and proceeded to let me attempt to get into these dresses and be humiliated when they wouldn't come above my knees or go over my head. My family drove nearly 2 hours for this appointment. Only after I INSISTED they hand me a dress in my actual size did they proceed to admit there was only 1 (ONE) dress in the entire store that was my size and it was a hideous and dated prom dress looking gown. I can not say enough bad things about this store and this experience. The fact that I called ahead and was very candid about my size and style interests and they allowed me to still drive the 2 hours to be humiliated and only able to try on a single dress that did not even resemble a wedding dress was insensitive, embarrassing and just bad business. I truly wish I could give 0 stars. This was my first time trying on a wedding dress and it could not have been more of a horrible experience. NO bride should have to feel this way during what is supposed to be a fun and special moment to share with friends and family. Not to mention they made me pay $40 for this appointment, did not offer to refund or accommodate after I was there for all of 30 minutes. I will be sure to share this review across every site that will allow me so that NO plus-size bride goes to this horrific...
Read moreWow, I just can not say enough about the absolutely wonderful experience we had at Allure Bridal! I am the mother of the bride and want to share our story about how we ended up at Allure.
My daughter decided she wanted to wear my mother's dress (from 1961). My daughter lives in Gainesville and my mother and I drove the dress down to meet with a seamstress about alterations. We decided that it just wasn't going to work and needed to look for a wedding dress, which was not in our plan at all. The seamstress recommended Allure Bridal so we called and asked if we could be there in 10 minutes. They agreed and when we walked it, we were welcomed with a sign with my daughter's name on it and were treated like royalty during the entire experience. The selection of dresses was amazing, the store is beautiful and the customer service was unparalleled. The ladies at Allure made the experience seem like we were in a Hallmark movie! It was an unforgettable experience shared by 3 generations and my daughter said yes to the dress!
I have been to chain bridal stores in the past for other weddings and the experience between that and this was night and day. This is such a special time in a woman's life and after our day at Allure, I believe going to the right bridal shop is an important choice to make the experience magical. There were so many special touches offered at Allure, I just can't recommend them enough. The memory of the day will be with me, my mother and my...
