Andershock’s Farm Stand — Attraction in Chesterton

We like this place. bargain basement prices on fruit and vegetables. sometimes you win, sometimes not so much. this last visit was good weather and great produce. well except one item, but the other 19 dollars was well spent. Payment on the honor system, but apparently a dollar for a flat of blueberries is still too much for some people... Rustic location parking lot and storage. This is not all store pretty produce. It is value priced. sometimes it is 100% other time a bust, but usually most is still good. don't be the person that opens and picks through crates to get "the good stuff". Pick your $3 crate of produce and live for the moment. anyway. You never know sometimes we get a couple $$ worth, sometimes much more. That is part of the fun...

Product was great and the price was a steal. He sold a great deal of product, hit or miss, it was great for pocket book. The problem was he hired my son and then destroyed my son's confidence by calling my son stupid and slow. This was my son's first job ever! Now I know my son isn't perfect however the expectations to work at a job in two days as well as someone who has been doing the job for 15 years is unacceptable. The name calling is unnecessary.. I will no longer be supporting this locally...

We've been to Andershock's Farm Stand on a few occasions. It's actually a food rescue program and should not be considered if you're looking for fresh produce.
