Every bit of praise given in the other Reviews is earned.
Nick met me as I came in the door, and showed me to my table. He noticed I had a laptop and asked if I needed a plug, and accommodated. Very likeable man. Nice personality.
I had Jackson as my waiter. Found him to be quite knowledgeable concerning the menu and when I asked him his opinion between two dishes, he did not automatically steer me to the most expensive as many do, instead, he game me reasons why one choice was above the other. I went with it and enjoyed the Greek Seasoned Pork Chops. Chose the Baked Potato as a side. The food came out right off the grill and it was apparent this food did not sit under some heat lamp. Very fresh and quite an attractive presentation as well!
Coffee had a good taste and Jackson made sure it stayed topped off. As I finished my meal I was given a choice of desserts that came with the meal. I chose the tapioca and was very glad I did. Rich taste nice texture.
The Restaurant was clean. The seating and decor gave to a nice dinner setting. Nick, and his partner George, have a real nice thing going here. All those nice Reviews are spot on accurate. Nice family feel.
I will look forward to coming back, and will certainly try the broiled tilapia with crab stuffing!
Thank you Sunrise Thank you Nick and George for a nice meal and a pleasant knowledgeable...
Read moreWe stopped here for a meal around noon on New Year’s Day. We were on our way home and found it through the maps app. We are a family of 5. My son wanted steak and eggs and they were out of both steak options he had to have the chopped steak. My daughter wanted country fried steak and eggs and we were informed they were out of that also. Three of us had breakfast. I had a spinach feta omelette and when I got it the hash browns were not super warm and the omelette itself was rubbery and looked overcooked. I couldn’t even eat half. My husband ordered a Ruben meal. His lemon rice soup didn’t taste lemony at all but our kids ate it so it wasn’t a complete waste. He asked the waitress if he could get a cup of the beef soup option they had and she came back apologizing they were out of it. My husbands sandwich was so bad he only took a bite and left it. We didn’t bother taking either meals home & man we were hungry. We wanted to like it. My daughters had no issues with their waffle and chicken fingers meal. The restaurant was busy so obviously people like it. But man our meals were subpar at best. The coffee was amazing and the wait staff was great and attentive. Our waitress could tell I didn’t like my omelette and offered to have it remade but we just really wanted to get back on the road. We dropped almost 100 dollars for the five of us and it was...
Read moreExtremely clean & busy parking lot as we pulled in.
As we entered the entrance was clean and there wasn’t any “paw” prints on the windows.
The hostess (I assume) was busy cashing a guest out, right away the manager came out of the back. He sat us right away. He was definitely present in the dining room, kitchen and at the door. He took our drink order, our server Jessica was visibly busy with other tables. Jessica brought us our drinks almost immediately.
Menus, salt & pepper shakers, coffee cups were clean, floors were vacuumed. The carpets need to be rolled up and burnt from age however they were clean.
Prices are about right for breakfast however the portions were large. Lots of food.
Jessica was super nice and really cared about our experience, you can tell. She was full of smiles and overall, just a great server.
I highly recommend this place for a quick stop on your way home from a trip to Chicago as we did, a family breakfast after church, or dinner with a friend.
