This was without a doubt the worst hardware experience me and my wife have ever had. We simply went in to get a piece of glass cut for a window that had been cracked by accident. Upon entering the store we were approched by an elderly man who asked us,as he was walking away if we needed help,. having to walk down the isle with him as i explained what we needed i had to repeat myself several times because he seemed to show no intrest at all what our needs were.when i descibed to him the size of glass i needed he said he had to go in the back to get it. several minutes passed by before he and another man arrived with a box of glass that was suppossed to be 36x48.he told me that the piece needed to be cut out of the full piece that was priced at about 29.00 dollars.i told him to go ahead and cut it and give me the remainder of what was left. after all i had paid for the whole piece..he looked at us as if we were crazy to want the rest of the glass that we had already paid for, after telling him three times i wanted the rest of the glass I PAID FOR he with a bad attitude began cutting. After getting back home we relized he had cut the glass wrong. I called the store to let them know that the glass was cut wrong and a new sales person named Mat had told me that if i didnt get back there by five oclock during rush hour traffic he couldnt do it.we returned with the glass before five which was a great inconvience on us.As soon as we entered he saw us with the glass and imedieatlly gave us a bad attititude He was awful stating the whole time that it was our fault The first sales person had already left for the day so he just awsummed we were wrong After being talked to rudly and disrespectful he started shouting at us and told us he was going to give us our money back. So i told him what about the big hole in the window he didnt care and we left felling insulted and degraded and we didnt get our money back We will never shop there again and my wife and i have already told hundreds of people via internet our experince there. Baldwin Taylor you and...
Read moreI like this hardware store. I have been going here fifty years. Not a big box type of store. The men who run this store are knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend going in and taking a look around, it sells some interesting items. I am going to return to buy a boiling pot and burner that I need. It's too large to get on an airplane, so I will drive back to Jefferson,La. to get it. Follow up I drove back to this store a month later and bought a 102 quart stainless steel pot and a stainless steel two jet burner. The two cost me $520.00 . I was glad to get them and I will find out in the spring if I made a good choice. I will do an update and say just what I think. Well today was the first day I had the chance to boil with my new boiling pot and burner system. It worked great. I highly recommend buying a set from this hardware store. I boiled crawfish and dungeons crabs. Sausage, onion, garlic bay leaves and three bags of La. Dry boil. It...
Read moreA local hardware store that is a place in amber. So glad to patronize this store to keep a piece of the great American past alive. A true hardware store, nails sold by the pound in paper bags, old gents who can tell you about the uses of plumbing fixtures. The place is doomed for sure, I doubt it will see another 5 years, but IF I'm the last customer buying a light bulb before the fixtures are auctioned off I'll be there. PLEASE shop here, bring your kids here while a place like this still exists. They don't have everything you may need but finding something you do will bring you more than the...
