Highway Fried Chicken & Seafood — Restaurant in Louisiana

0 out of 10 would NOT recommend!!!!!! I ordered a “POYBOY” roast beef. I got 2. I was told there would be gravy. There was none! I was told it was a “POBOY” it was NOT on French bread. It was on some kinda in house I’m guessing baked bread. And you couldn’t even see the one slice of meat that was rolled up on the bread from the outside of the sandwich!!!!! I called and told them all that was wrong with the sandwich. Cuz clearly it was NOT A POBOY!!!! And I was told “IT IS WHAT IT IS” I bought 2 behind $26.00. And no MEAT or FRENCH BREAD or GRAVY yes I’m mad as big mad!!!! Looks like they stuck the peace of meat in the microwave. And that is all!!! They are over priced and RUDE!!!!! And clearly not truthful about what they are selling!!!!!! You want GOOD chicken go to McKenzie on Frenchmen! These ppl couldn’t hold a candle to them if...

I would give Highway five stars just for their efficiency. This is a two person operation and they crank out quality chicken and seafood much faster than that "other" fried chicken place down the road with ten people. This place has one guy working they fryer and one woman running the register, boxing up orders and taking phone orders all at the same time. Oh yeah. The food is delicious, too. I've had the fried shrimp and the fried fish. They're always cooked to order and ready in 5 to 10 minutes. I don't know anybody else around that does to go seafood that's good and also this fast. Prices are pretty good, too. Edit: Now I've had the spicy fried chicken, too. No 5-10 minute wait. It was ready to go by the time I finished signing the credit card receipt. Good chicken, too....

The chicken was good,but I think it would have been better if it was fresh out the grease..Nonetheless it was good..The women's restroom was broken and had a note to use the mens room,with a note stating to not throw toilet paper in the toilet..umm ummm I'm a female duuhhh.But anyway the customer service ahhhh leaves much to be desired..The woman cashier's interactions with me seemed forced and aggravated..When asked about how long before fresh chicken she was rude and stated no fresh chicken as if to say take this..The chicken was not two minutes old as stated but again decent..She was much nicer with others whom seemed to be regulars..But I still wouldn't knock them..Most people that I spoke with while there talked good about the chicken...
