At this point i give up ever trusting you car toys. Im this close to just letting them always feel like they suck. This car toys horribly damaged may have damaged my tweeter. These speakers costed 980 and what i seen today was horrible. They hot glued my tweeter to cinder. I heard my tweeter moving around in the dash and i had to take the plastic cover off only to discover this thing was off the frame again. This could be damaged due to their poor performance and ima go into this store. If i am not offered a free replacement because of this, ima just have to find an attorney next because this isnt something i would want to have to use my warranty on that i paid for. If they did the glue and and made the speaker flew off this shouldnt be on me. We gonna see tomorrow. (FOLLOW UP) The so called owner, who is the store manager hit me up as on December 9th and when i asked who the owner was he just told me it was him replying. The situation was already remedied on the tweeter issue, however, they scratched my tints up during the work of replacing my tweeters and when i called they did offer to give me a new wind shield replacement for the tint on the windshield, but i declined because i didn't want their tints, i wanted the ones i bought from high-line customs and yet the store manager, Ryan, didn't want to pay to restore the tint i bought and was scratched up by them, so i will be seeking the right attorney for the case and bo longer will i be condoning business with this store, considering the fact its managed like this, id be better off driving down to the beaverton store over this location.

I don’t write reviews for anything because I feel it solves nothing. I’m still out the money regardless if I get a sorry or not. But I brought my truck here for a backup camera installation. After waiting I come back to see my camera is just glued and taped, off center on my rear bumper. Looked like you could just flick it off. After giving them 400 dollars and over all a 1300 dollar payment plan this is not what I expected. Even still I had no attitude I was kind and told “we take pride in our work” and asked if they had my permission to drill into the bumper for a more clean look. I regrettably agreed. So I wait again and come to find they drilled into my bumper off center. I have to go in and complain again calmly and more concerned. But I’m told they have a special license plate camera they can order me that will fit flush and center and connect with my license plate. Well fast forward 3 weeks with no contact I call. They say they have the part and to come in. So I do. Wait and hour in the waiting room. come back out to my car to notice they just moved the same camera and shaved the plastic to fit over my license plate. I go back in and ask why did they not install the camera we ordered 3 weeks ago. To be told it doesn’t fit. And they’re sorry. And I pretty much just gotta eat crow on it. Look do yourselves a favor don’t come here. You wanna do a subpar job on your rig. Grab a couple buddies and some beers and watch a YouTube video and get what ever you need done by yourselves. it will rival anything these “professionals” can do. I wouldn’t trust this crew building a happy meal.

My spouse and I own a four door 1939 Ford Deluxe. We wanted to update the speakers inside while still keeping the original historical speaker as a backup. My spouse removed the speaker from the housing bracket and out of the car (in our own garage), there was one crack in the speaker. We were fine with this, as it's a 6 volt AM radio that's played softly in the car, and gave it to the employees at Car Toys in Clackamas off 82nd. The only reason we gave them the speaker is because it's a unique size that needed to be adapted. The day comes for my spouse to pick up the speaker and he takes the 39, an employee outside runs up to my spouse and says "don't tell my manager I told you this, but I would never take that car here". He goes inside to pick up the housing bracket and they hand it to him without the speaker, he asks them he wants it back, they said "oh...you wanted that back?" And he said yes and they handed it back to him in this condition. I called on Monday night (03/04/2024) and they said the manager Ryan would get back to me, Ryan never called me back so I had to call today (03/07/2024). I bring the speaker in and Ryan has the balls to look me in the eye, smile and say "well who knows? You could've been drunk and dropped it. How do we know you didn't store it improperly?" Refused to take accountability, refused to take responsibility, refused to apologize or issue a refund. Don't bring anything you wouldn't want to be broken here. Go to Musicars Northwest, Car Toys will secretly tell you the same thing.

This has been by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.. I bought a Groupon, I made an appointment online for 11am Saturday morning. When I got there a man Named Michael approached me and ask what can he help me with. As we were walking outside to look at my car he asked me what kind of car was I tinting and I told him a Camaro. At that point the conversation got uncomfortable. He stated that “that’s not what I’m supposed to be tinting” as if he didn’t want to do the job. So I said well I’m scheduled with someone named Alex. He then says “well I’m the only one here that tint windows.” Ok so we’re looking at my car and he says “well you have film on your windows and I’ll need to remove the film which would be $150” ok that’s fine. Then he started to up sale me with a different kind of tint saying that the tint I purchased through Groupon wasn’t a tint that they provided anymore and that I needed to upgrade for an additional $200 at this point I’ll be coming out of my pocket $500 for him to tint 3 windows. Ok whatever, I’ll do it. He then started to boast & brag on how he has over 20th a of experience in window tinting, cool… I was told it would take a few hours. I received no phone call no update on the process of my car. So I called and the first thing the guy on the other end of the phone said was “hey yea, I know Micheal has been struggling on your back window because it has a curve in it.” Ok being that he says he has over 20yrs of experience why is he struggling because he made it seem like he tint windows on coupes all the time should be an issue right?! At this point I’m becoming more frustrated because now this has become an inconvenience for me it’s now 6pm and you all still have my car. He then tells me to bring my car back on Tuesday. I told him that will NOT work for me because I work. I took today off for this and to get my car serviced and if I come get my car I would like a full refund so that I can take it somewhere else where they can properly install the tint. He said that he’s confident that they have someone that will be in tomorrow morning (Sunday) that will tackle the job. It is now Sunday morning I have yet to receive a phone call from anyone to touch base with me. If Michael couldn’t do the job properly he should have just said that instead of taking me money.. Very unprofessional. He also stated that he will credit me back $100 when I come pick up my car so I will be expecting that as well. Overall 0/10 I would not recommend Car Toys.. Seems like they work off commission so they are only worried about money and not the integrity of...

Don’t lie to me. I was constantly told items were available but when it was time to install the parts they were not available. I purchased a 2020 truck and I wanted to upgrade my stereo so I was recommended to Car Toys by the dealership. I set up an appointment and found out that a required cable needed to be manufactured because the truck was too new. Car Toys supposedly ordered the cable but after a month I called Car Toys to find out about the cable and nobody knew anything about it. I bugged them several times after that and nobody could give me a delivery date. They kept telling me that the new cables are released after the first of the year. I asked if anyone call the manufacturer to see what the status was. Nobody called. So after almost 3 months the cable finally arrived. Unfortunately, at that time, my truck was in the shop for warranty work but I told Car Toys that it would be done in a week and wanted them to confirm they had everything ready to go once my truck was released from the shop. They told me yes we have everything. I got my truck out of the shop on a Friday so I called Car Toys to schedule installation for Saturday. Come to find out the radio wasn’t in stock and had to be ordered. Saturday was my only free time so now I had to squeeze the installation in around work. Finally, Danielle called and said everything in and ready for installation. I said great and would try my hardest to squeeze it in around my work schedule. The day before bringing it in I called to confirm that the front camera was in stock and included on the work order. They said it was included and ready to go. The day I dropped my truck off at Car Toys for the installation I inquired about the front camera and Danielle said it wasn’t included and will cost extra. Finally the stereo was being installed and The technician discovered that the new panel was the wrong panel so he had to drive to Beaverton to get the right panel. Finally everything was installed at a higher cost that was originally agreed upon but now I’m experiencing glitches in the stereo operations. Not real impressed with the stereo. So this whole experience was extremely dissatisfying and I felt I was lied to and deceived at every turn. Danielle was extremely pleasurable to work with and she is extremely friendly but the management of this whole situation was extremely poor. Nobody seemed to care about me or what I wanted. I will not recommend Car Toys to anyone I know and will probably file a grievance...

So it started out as a moderately decent experience. I had a Groupon to get regular window tint. The person I spoke with initially was great at explaining my options and did end up upselling me to ceramic tint and a front/rear camera. I was given a 4pm estimate and went about my day. At about 2:30 I was told my car was done. I came and picked it up and that’s when things went haywire. I went to run some errands and realized that when you hit the right hand turn signal, the windshield wipers came on, and the turn signal was not working. Not a safe way to drive around. It was about 5pm at this point so I called and drove back to have it fixed. The “manager” at that point was a woman, and I explained to her that I just picked my car up and there was a mechanical issue I needed to have fixed. She told me “well the techs aren’t here, they are all on lunch.” Ok, well it’s 5 pm and you close at 7, but I need to have this fixed because I have to go to work. I can’t come back another day and this isn’t safe to drive with. So she calls the tech and mocks me to them with a super snotty “when will you be back she said she cant drive like this but has to go to work”. I looked at her confused because I wasn’t rude, I wasn’t even forceful or upset, I just wanted the work I just spent 1200.00 on done correctly. She hung up with them and said “well they will be back in about an hour” I told her that I had to be at work at 7 and my car is not safe to drive so it would be appreciated if she maybe told them to come back and fix the issue. But also the snotty tone and mocking me for my very real concern wasn’t necessary. She did finally call them to come back, and tried to apologize, back pedal, and make small talk while I waited for the techs to fix the problem. I understand that mistakes can be made. I understand that technology is not perfect. I don’t appreciate being literally mocked, to my face, while expressing a real safety concern. She then stomped around complaining that “she hates when they put her in this position”. The situation was easily solvable by a competent manager. The first phone call should have been “hey we have a real issue here we need you to come back and take a look at it”, and been done. The theatrics and tone just weren’t necessary. For my first time here, and after spending the amount of money I did, I can’t say I will be back, nor will I recommend to any of my friends.
