Absolutely horrific. Two stars for bad manicure and bad attitude! In short, if you have an issue with the customer schedule, say something, and if you're upset with your boss or another customer don't take it out on me. Don't lie because you know what you're doing is not nice and you're figuring the customer just might complain. The first two times I went with a friend, I was impressed and readily returned but the third time they could not provide either of the same two people. I was fine with that. There seemed to be some confusion as to whether my friend made an appointment but they did say they take walk-ins. No matter, all seemed well but the person who did the nails & pedicure did a terrible job. My heels were left rough and the gel manicure was unprofessionally done. Third time again there was confusion as to the appointment time and despite there being an almost empty salon, there seemed to be an issue. I was thinking next time I would make the appointments instead of my friend. The person who finally gave my pedicure and manicure seemed unhappy and rushed. Perhaps she was having a bad day, I remained cheerful but not too chatty. I asked her name thinking I would return and know who I can make the appointment with if another is unavailable. The person told me they were the owner. Later I found out this was untrue. My manicure was terrible. A few of my nails were filed so thin in spots that they chipped, broke within a week. While previous visits the nails were under the lamp for a certain amount of time, this person kept them minimal amount, yet my next manicurist told me it seemed they must have used a glue as a base coat, lol! I don't know, but the actual polish was applied so unevenly and the rough filing showed underneath, I could have done better myself!. Looking back I regret tipping 20 percent each time. Read moreI love this nail salon because it’s very nice and nearby but the reason I have only rated 2 stars is for a few reasons. Since this nail salon opened I have been coming here and over the years this nail salon has become very popular and I think convenient for the locals. Most other nail salons in the area are not very attractive, large or clean looking per say as far as presentation goes and I think that does appeal to most people. Clean being most important. Secondly because of the volume of people that come to this salon the wait is way longer. They do have plenty of technicians but I believe they do need more. Lastly the original owner of this establishment was very very nice and seemed pleasant to work with. Even if she was busy attending her clients she still acknowledged everyone walking through the door. For a very long time I had a few technicians that I would always go to and if one I wanted wasn’t available I was able to at least pick 1 of the 3 preferred. Now it’s impossible. You must make an appointment and even so you still may have to wait. Being that I am already aware of this I come in early and if I have no appointment I literally still have to wait 1 hour just to get a pedicure from any tech and had to come back hours later or they even offer the next day. Attitude is not the problem in this place. I just believe it’s an issue of over load and that is why this particular salon is having so many issues. First they are never punctual, you make an appointment and always, and I say always, have to wait at least 30 min. I noticed that they see there’s a 10 min break between last client and the next appointment and they take someone else in that time, and whoever has the appointment has to wait. Not very professional I’d say.
Second, be prepared to sit there longer than usual. The specialist (with a rare few exceptions) are always talking with each other, or answering personal texts messages, talking on their cellphones, while doing your nails. A service that should take not more than 40 min (1h tops), takes almost double that time. It’s irritating, it’s like you’re not their priority at all!
Lastly, and this is the reason I’m never going back to this place ever again, is the attitude of their staff. There has been an ownership change, and I would say for the worst. They didn’t have internet connection today so I couldn’t get my points for my visit. I asked the front desk girl if I could add the points of today’s visit next time I come back, and she said only the owner can allow it. So I asked the owner’s name, and she wouldn’t give it to me, then I asked her name, and she also refused to tell me. Only reason I wanted to know her name is so she could remember me next time I come back for my points.
In resume, I’m not giving my money to this place anymore, since they seem to not appreciate and respect...
