Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

I really didn't expect much when I came here since I was just stopping by to get lunch, but sad to say, I was grossly disappointed. I am not even sure if anything will be done about the situation but I must voice my discontentment. I have never been disrespected before in this manner, all for just minding my business and trying to purchase food. And all of this is because of one worker: a tall, slender, young man (wish I had a name) who seem to have no home training and definitely no customer service skills. While standing patiently waiting for the person who was actually serving me to check on something in the back, this young man walks out and mumbles something to me, I asked him to repeat, he did but I was still not sure what he said so I explained I was waiting on someone who was checking if they had patties and she is on her way back. Somehow that aggravated him it seems, and he said "ova desso patty sell," in an aggressive tone and waved me off to the side. Luckily I am Jamaican so I could understand his raw patois. Yet, I did not move because frankly I do not take orders like that and my server was coming back to meet me where I was standing. The other two young ladies I saw in the front were polite, friendly and very attentive to customers. The restaurant was clean and the food looks delicious. However, please keep that guy in the back. First when I walked in the place smells delicious and the place is very clean. I’ll give it that. I asked about the lunch special and it was 6 mins to 11. So the young lady says we start at 11. So I said ok it’s 6 mins till so can we start now? She just looked at me…no response. Me with a smile I said ok I’ll do the oxtails lunch special. Again she never said anything to me but asked it I wanted rice and peas. Not aware since this was my first time there that Oxtails were not on the lunch menu. When it was time to pay for my meal the oxtail dinner came up to $25. I asked the lady were the oxtails on the lunch menu she told me no. Now if I ordered it like that I should have been told that from the beginning. So I told her if I had known that I wouldn’t have ordered that and ordered something else. Customer service goes a long way. Understand what the customers are asking and reply to their question. I just wish I had more of a friendly service when coming there. No hello, no smile no advertising your specials. Anyway the food was excellent so cuddos...

Hello to all! The presentation can only be exhausted through the due diligence of the location, cleanliness, welcoming staff and most importantly a highly desirable Caribbean menu to select through a number of authentic dishes. Not only does this Golden Krust location have spectacular dishes that are to die for but their patties, bread and deserts are one of a kind. I've visited this location a few times but my, I must say my last visit required me to post a review. I went in yesterday for just 1 dinner meal but when I saw the new container of oxtail and freshly made Curry Goat I just had to order both. I ate the Oxtail dinner there supplied with an island fruit drink and I was ready to pass out due to how well the food was made and tasted. Satisfactory to say the least. I never felt so welcomed and appeased at any restaurant from what I can remember, especially during COVID times...
