I've just moved to this area and this has become my new spot. I've ordered food 5 times from here because I love the food. Now I came 3 days in a row and I always ask them to not give me beans and give me extra rice instead! In 10 years I've never been denied or changed for this, A guy white skinned guy with black hair possibly Latino told me he had not seen me the day prior but I was most definitely there and I cannot say weather it was yesterday or the day before but his cashier had no problem accommodating this and he has stated he's NEVER seen me before, BOLD FACE LIE you may not recognize me as I came in my pajamas but you seen me I spoke with you and now today my double rice was not allowed, he said it should have never been aloud but they have done it several times and every other la brasa has. Now if this is a rule they never cared before so how do you give someone something 3 days in a row and then try to charge them for it and straight denied it. I DO NOT EAT beans and always have had great experiences. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN! Going back to my old labrasa where you can even get your sauce yourself! Oh btw each time I get all 4 sauces this time I had to beg for the extra 2. Something tells me it's because I'm white. I write this as I enjoy my food that I just picked up from La Brasa in West Palm Beach on Okeechobee and Haverhill. I felt compelled to review La Brasa today because I experienced very awesome service while i ordered my food during the busy lunch crowd and because the food is plentiful and excellent!! I went there today to order food for my staff and, while doing so, I picked some up for myself. The cashier was very friendly, was patient with my order and politely repeated it back before submitting the order. The gentleman with the tattoos has an awesome attitude and was very professional and quick to assist in assembling my order. He said thank you for the order and "please come back" which I will most certainly do. Unlike, this restaurant's competition, the restaurant is very clean including the bathroom as was the salsa/condiment stand which was very clean and amply supplied. the food is amazing and you get a bunch! Black beans and rice is combined as one side (unlike the competition - and they offer brown rice) and the portions are huge. My chicken breast was cooked perfectly and was enough to feed two people. The price was 1/2 of what I would have paid at Havana and the food was much better!! Don't discount this place because of the price - it's fantastic.
