Dong Khanh Market — Attraction in Jersey Village

There is a younger girl at the register who was extremely rude to my mother today. My mom bought two items and I accompanied her. The girl didn't greet us and she was scrolling on Facebook and made us wait to scan our items. My mom changed her mind on one of the items because the price was a little high. My mom told her "Excuse me, can I take this back?" very politely. The girl rolled her eyes, let out a loud sigh, printed out the receipt, slammed the pen down, and said "sign". She didn't take off the item. Apparently, we aren't allowed to change our minds because it's too much work for her to cancel an item. Then she went back scrolling on Facebook for about another 30 seconds before putting our items in the bag. I'm not sure how she feels so entitled to behave like this towards her customers. She needs to learn manners and customer service. My parents are loyal customers who have been going for years, normally twice a week. My mother is nice and may tolerate such behavior, but I will not. I will not recommend this store to anyone.

Also, get off the phone when you are with a customer! It's not like she was answering an emergency call. She was scrolling...

UPDATED Dec 2023 LOVES the owner, But DISLIKE an old lady Quý work at meat place. She so rude. Never come back, there's so many places serving better! July 13, 2023 Gosh I stop by to buy some meat but the guy face who's cashiers looked so mad and scared. I gone there for buy not to beg for food. If he hate that job then stay home though... Owner even WORST. Cut back to small amounts with same price. Its raises price. The worst experience in a grocery store I ever had!! We we're in line and the men with glasses ignore us and help the lady that got there before us. Then the older wonen next to him rudely ask me to take the few items out the basket. Really???? How lazy can you get???? We believe they are the owners. That's why they can be rude to customers. If you need 1 or 2 items this place is okay. But I advise you to go to Viet Hoa...there prices are better and they always been nice!! I'm hispanic and my husband is Vietnamese. So, he understood what they we're saying! They are racists and need to improve in there customer service!! I'm letting my friends know and there not going there again. Just...
