Taquerias Arandas — Restaurant in Texas

If you need catering from Taqueria Arandas....good luck to you, because you may need the luck just to get a professional person to answer your questions on the phone in a timely manner. I called to inquire for a babyshower to host 40 persons. Taqueria Arandas representative told me to email him with the details of our event, so he could send me a proposal. I sent the details of the event via email as instructed and received no proposal that day as promised. Then I received a phone message from someone, but there was no call back number in the message. Who do I call back for information??? Then I received an email on Feb 20, to "confirm" my catering for Feb 21 (the wrong date as event is on Feb 28). I responded to that email stating that his date was wrong and that our event was Feb 28. Of course this made me worry, because if they can't get the date right, what else might they get wrong? Today I call again, and there is no answer. Then I get a call back from someone who says he missed a call from my number, but he does not even acknowledge himself as a Taqueria Arandas representative. At that point I just need to hang up, because if I am not talking to someone who can help me with catering, and you cannot identify yourself as such, I have no business wasting my time. Usually, I am very happy with their food, but catering may be a complete nightmare for you if that is the service you are seeking. It is difficult to get someone on the phone, to respond appropriately, and then when they do respond, it is with inaccurate information. I would not trust them...

Worst Service. I went yesterday and got a 32oz cheese and bag of chip with a 16oz salsa. The total came out for $17.96. Today my family made fajita so they wanted me to bring and salsa so I stopped again. There was a different manager today (jose). I asked him for the exact same order and he was charging me around $30. I told me I was here yesterday and I paid $17.96. He told me I was lying and told me to leave. I asked to pull yesterday receipt and check. He continually said I am lying so I got upset and told me If you can't to it for this price its fine but don't call me a lier. He kept saying no no no and that I am lier. Since I paid with a debit card I pulled my transaction on my phone and showed him what they charged but still didn't believe me and told me to leave. Worst service ever!! I have eaten at a lot of their restaurants this is the worst!! Weren't very wheel chair friendly, bathrooms were gross, staff rude, half the stuff on kids menu they no longer served, and the food was horrible!! Do not eat here! All their other restaurants are good normally. Oh and they only serve beer and no margaritas! Worst experience ever and I never take the time to write reviews but this was just ridiculous. Oh and you know those kids menu you get that your kids can color in they hand that fo my 5 yr old twins and my kids get all excited to color and when they asked for crayons they were told we don't have crayons!
