Usually i have such a fine experience when dining here. The food is usually great and the service is good but one bad experience can ruin me from ever going back. I took my son here on Sunday June 7, 2015 around 4pm after his graduation to celebrate with the family. Was seated fairly quickly and was brought chips and salsa shortly thereafter but no waiter arrived for more than 15 minutes to take our drink order. After getting drinks and finally ordering our food and after having to repeat our order several times because the waiter did not understand english that well the electricity went out. It was out for over 30 minutes the first time and about 15-20 the second time as we sat in the heat with melted drinks and no server to be found. I went to the front desk to ask what was going on and to let them know that we had been waiting over 45 minutes for our food and that it was my sons graduation and he was getting upset and i also let her know the waiter never came to check on us or let us know what was going on with the electricity (it was in the 90's that day and felt over 100 inside). Other patrons were starting to complain and having to use stuff for fans. She found our waiter and he just came over and said the food was coming. We wait about 15 more minutes (still in the dark) and finally the food comes but most of it is cold and by that time all we wanted to do was get out of there because it was so freaking hot and no one really felt like eating as they were nauseous from the heat so we got to go boxes. After receiving our ticket we asked to speak to the manager to let him know how the service was and how bad the experience was and his reply was "well its out of my hands", no apology, no explanation or anything and just walks off. I tried calling Elizabeth at guest relations but no one ever answers the phone and there is not even a machine to leave a message on, also sent them 2 emails from the contact us form on their website and after 2 weeks did not even get a reply. If this is how they treat their customers i will...
Read moreEditing rating. We have been coming to Los cucos for years. At least once every 2 weeks. We even came with our wedding party after we got married. This has been our favorite dining out spot. The last couple months it has just been going downhill, but after last week, we will not be going back. It was terrible service and worse food. I am saddened because this place has become kind of special to us, and I even refer everyone I host from out of town. Over the past few months, the servers have become hostile and negligent and the food just seems rushed and is often wrong. Check out my order of nachos from this most recent visit. We were seated and no one came to our table. A server passed up several times and still did not stop. We figured she wasn't our server, so we continued to wait. After a few minutes another table was sat and the server went to them, got their drink order, and they were promptly brought chips and salsa. We continued to wait there for a few more minutes until I walked over to the server area and asked if we were going to be greeted. The woman that has not acknowledged us at all, and took the other table before us informed me that she'd be over in a minute. It was all down hill after that and we really tried to just enjoy ourselves, but then the food came out wrong, and my nachos has barely any toppings. It was impossible to get another drink in a timely manner, so we just left. Will not...
Read moreI've eaten here before (lunch and brunch) and had good food and good service, so this trip was a real surprise, and not in a good way. I see that many other reviewers have had good experiences, so I'm hoping my experience is NOT normal at all.
First, the service was good, and the restaurant was clean. The 2 stars are there only because both of those were good and the food I've had in the past was good (not great, but good). The other 2 stars are missing because of the food quality this time.
I ordered the cheese enchiladas which is one of my favorite dishes. They came out nice and hot, but I could see some grease around the enchiladas. As I dug in, the beans and rice were just fine, but...the enchiladas were the greasiest I've had in a very long time. As I ate, the grease puddle grew. The bottom of the enchiladas were soaked so every bite carried that flavor. Very disappointing and not palatable at all. I ended up only eating half of them, because I just couldn't get past that greasy flavor. I also ordered the flan to go, and when I ate it later, it was good too.
So the total negative of this review is based around the terrible enchiladas. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would have sent them back and ordered something different.
Eat here with some caution. One of the 3 times I've eaten there was bad, so eat at your own risk, but leave your reviews here so we...
