Arguably one of the best parks in Arlington, the Fairlington playground is very large and has plenty of play equipment for all ages. Sand is always a favorite for my kids and there’s a great sand pit here with a small play set for younger kids right next to the sand with features likes chutes and funnels to play with the sand ON the play set. There is also a nice pavilion with picnic tables centrally located. The turf is nice, has some hills and a variety of play features spread out through the park. For the little climbers and older kids there is an awesome slide and bridge. My 3.5 year old was able to do it all on his own, so while it says 5+ some of the younger kids will enjoy it as well. And if they want to do it, but want mom or dad to come along, the adults can comfortably walk across the bridge without bending in half. I can’t forget the ā€œzip lineā€ feature that was popular with all of the kids as well. In all, it’s a great park that we love and seems to be a favorite for lots of people as well!

Everything was great. However, I feel like you need a waiver to play on the big kid side only because all of the little kids want to play on the big kid side. And they need to redo their sandbox. Other than that, it was a great playground. Friendly people all around. Someone brought their dog and it urinated in the little kids area. Not a fan of that and those parents thar allowed their kids to bring the dog in the first place. I'll be back soon as my kids were tired after we left and even my friends were tired and fell asleep on the couch.

I would say that the play ground is the best in the area for adults.

Omigosh my son loves this playground so much! It has equipment for both little kids and big kids, enough to keep him interested for over an hour, plus a cool paved walking trail around the playground so you can watch your kids and get in some exercise, also good for kids on bikes or scooters. It also has a soccer field and an outdoor gym. Nice soft surface under the...
