This mini-off-the-street shopping center has such a diverse selection of stores and services. From selective pet items to nail salon services, this center can accommodate your local needs. Of course, no center is complete without a Starbucks and a McDonald's. There is also Hair Cuttery, a recently renovated Rite Aid, Zoe's Kitchen, DUCK DONUTS, a Fresh Market grocery, a post office, Pet Valu, banking and dental services, Orange Theory workout spot, a barber shop, shoe repair, Hallmark store, urgent care, a Michael's for all your crafting needs, and many more. Family italian/Greek eatery, a Subway shop, sushi and asian eatery and a quaint pastry/bakery complete with scrumptious cakes, cookies, and sandwich fare. If there is a downside, it's the parking, which is plentiful and has rear parking behind the barber shop. There is a lacrosse supplies depot, frame shop and an appliance repair storefront. The center is also accessible via the side street adjacent to the shopping center with 2 bus stops (I think) to boot. However, the front and rear parking infrastructures need to be updated to accommodate the increase in patrons and community density. There are only 3 exits in the front mall shopping center area w/o a traffic light. The STOP signs are often ignored or rolled through. Otherwise this shopping center is surprisingly convenient and plentiful and saves you time from heading up the road to Bailey's Crossroads where the congestion and traffic can...
Read moreI was encouraged to find an "old-fashioned" barber shop in this area after numerous instances of bad luck with haircuts in this area. I can't speak for the three main guys cutting hair (and apparently one of them is pretty good, if the number of people waiting specifically for him is any indication), but when I went, there was an Asian lady far back in the corner of the store. I had the misfortune of having my hair cut by her. As another reviewer said, I was barely in the chair before she was finished. She ran a buzzer over the sides of my head (both sides way closer than I wanted, and one closer than the other). She never pulled out a pair of scissors, haphazardly using clippers to attain the desired length on the top (assuming.
I don't think I've ever had a worse haircut. I look horrible. If it were only a matter of the hair being uneven, I would fix it myself, but she took so much off in the back that my only option is to wait it out. I am genuinely ashamed to leave my...
Read moreMicheals is great, BeeDiner is great, Walgreens: well there's always a like to check out, MyEyeDr will rip you off and tell you too bad, Starbucks is descretionary on who gets extra foam and crunchies, Duck Doughnuts is great. OVER ALL, I just moved here and am beginning to find that is is better to drive the extra miles and get Great service from other locations, rather the drive to what is convenient. Many if the clerks have attitude, like their the shit and it's sad because I'm a paying customer as much as the person in front or behind me. And when you are swindled and not informed if cost, or they decide you don't need something on your drink that you pay for...that is poor customer service and I'm tired of being...
