This will be a short review but SGT Hunter and SGT Gage helped me out greatly. If you are trying to get on post, make sure you have a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and current insurance too. Once you come in the building, you'll present those items to the person off to the right and you'll sign in. After that, you'll go to the window and from there, you'll get a one day visitor pass.

2nd military base I've ever visited. This place is 100% better and nicer than Fort Hood in Texas. As a family member of military vets, I felt safer walking into that base than even in my own neighborhood. I recommend historians or military geeks to check out the museum of decommission military artillery.

Great check-in process, very easy. Also the museum next door was great and the Sgt working the front desk was amazingly knowledgeable! It was a small, but a very well put together tribute/history of the 4ID.

I was directed to the Fort Carson visitor center to obtain a pass as a ride sharing driver. Although the process was relatively quick and painless, the soldier at the front desk misdirected me to using an automated kiosk that only issued single day passes (even though I told him I was looking for a driver's pass). Immediately after I signed in, that soldier left the desk, and the next soldier with whom I spoke directed me to the same area UNTIL I interrupted him to explain that I wanted a pass that lasted longer than one day. Then, I was directed to the desk where a month long pass was issued in a pretty quick and easy process. It seems I really had to force the people there to stop and listen to me so that I got what I needed, even though I explained everything correctly the first time. However, once I got to the right person, everything was quick and I got...

Unbelievably ruin civilian officers... I have visited bases all over the United States and never been treated with such disrespect. Their pure "I dont care" attitude, is unlike any I have seen from any guard. Not to mention, I was the only one waiting to get access with 4 guards on duty, and they took over 30 minutes to process me. And once I was sitting down at their desks had me get up again, and go to the front door to sign in, even though we were completely alone in the room. I asked if I could sign it on the way out, since I had already been told to sit. They rudely stated no, go back now and sign it. I would honestly have called a commander to the office, since I know several, but did not want to waste a real persons time over civilian guards who were...

This is towards the visitor center with getting passes. I don't know the guards name that was working behind the desk today on booth #2, had glasses, but he clearly did not listen to what I was telling him so I had to repeat myself a couple of times. He then changes his demeanor and tone of voice to where I found it very rude and unprofessional but that's because he did not listen to what I was telling him about me and my wife's ID card. Maybe next time open your ears and listen to the customer at your desk and hear what they're trying to tell you. Do better because your service was garbage. Hopefully future customers don't have to deal with your...
