Today, August 24th, at 1:00pm, we went to order sandwiches for my children. The white female employee was taking orders very quickly, and since it was a slow day, we were the only customers in line, with one person ahead of us checking out. I felt rushed by her demeanor, which came across as unprofessional. After she finished taking orders, she passed the food to the cashier. Another lady, who looked Hispanic and was wearing eyeglasses, responded rudely when I asked how to distinguish the different sandwiches. She curtly said, "They come in order; whatever you order is what it is." While I was speaking to her, the same white employee interrupted me in a very rude manner, reiterating what the other lady had said. Having worked for AAFES, I can confidently say that their customer service was lacking. They need training from supervisors on how to interact with customers properly. I told the first person that I have an allergy to jalapeños so just please change your gloves so it doesn’t have contact with my sandwich. She said absolutely no problem were supposed to change gloves basically after each order. She even told the Second Lady to change the gloves because the sandwich’s previous to mine had jalapeños on them. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and proceeded to touch my sandwich and not change her gloves so I told her I no longer wanted that sandwich. That happened last month. Today I went again and the same lady who refused to change her gloves was there again. So I did not get myself a sandwich. Read moreI had a disappointing experience at this location. I arrived at 3:45 PM, well before the posted closing time of 4:00 PM, only to find the staff already cleaning and preparing to close. When I asked what time they closed, I was told, "in 15 minutes, at 4 o’clock." I stood there with my children for another 10 minutes without any service, only to then be told they were closed and could not assist us.
If customers are not going to be served during the final 30 minutes of business hours, that should be made clear. It’s frustrating and unprofessional to be turned away at the posted closing time, especially after waiting with young children.
