I just left the lake city goodwill it's there new location. This was our second visit the lady that was working on the floor was very courteous, kind, and welcoming. And I overheard her talking to other customers of a shoe sale so i asked about it she said the kids shoes were .99 today, so i picked out 4 pairs for my grand daughter. When my total was given it was way too high so I asked if we got the shoes for the .99 ? Anyway, I told the check out lady the other worker gave us that price she went clear to the back of the store and asked the manager and came back said no that's not the price! I said then I don't want them so she went back got the manager. His name is Hank he said "Absolutely No Refunds" of course I was very upset. Espiesally, since we hadn't left the cash register! He said that's just our policy I informed him a policy is if you leave the store. This was repeated several times about No Refunds! This ended up alittle heated I told him the worker told us the price he "still" wasn't going to do it! We finally got her and when she said that's what she had been told. He "Finally" gave us a refund! I won't go back as long as he is the manager. I have donated in my lifetime hundreds of dollars to goodwill! I use to manage a store in Iowa. This man has no concept of what it takes to manage a store.... You want a real...
Read moreWent in last week first time, just moved to the area I’ve heard online to not support goodwill because they are money hungry well after visiting this location that was confirmed , I went to the register to purchase my items , I purchased a toy that was broke and missing a few parts cost 2.99 I thought too much for a broken toy missing pieces but needless to say my daughter loved it and wanted it well when approaching the Register and the cashier checking the price she scoffed and showed the person next to her , (a manager of some sort) the price when she saw it she rolled her eyes and they made comments about how they have gotten them like this all day , and myself being me I asked what the issue was and they replied oh nothing so I asked if it was priced wrong she replied yes it’s marked to low it’s not your fault it’s the person in the back who’s new ,I responded that that’s the most I would of paid for it anyways and she said nothing and I left the store and don’t think I will donate or contribute any amount of money to this organization again, words of advise , customer service training and you probably shouldn’t make comments like that in front of customers it’s bad...
Read moreVery limited selection, quite a few damaged and dirty items on display unfortunately. It was our first time here and we found a nice basket to buy, but it was high at $7.50 for such a small basket that was still damaged on one side.
There is no clear indication of where a line starts, no sign. I saw a gentleman waiting in line and I stood behind him. We waited at least 15 mins before someone else came in line after us, and Deb attended them before us.
She explained after she takes the next person that we aren’t in line- but made no effort prior to taking the next customer to tell us we weren’t standing in the right place.
The man ahead of us was in a wheelchair and also did not know where the line started, there is no indication of where it starts. And DEB chooses to skip over him and us while she saw we were waiting in line for 15 mins before someone else comes along and attends them instead.
Then takes her sweet time catching up with the customer about life before attending the rest of us.
Very unprofessional and rude. Management should add clear signage indicating where a line starts and offer a...
