Fifth Generation Farms — Local services in Lake City

First-time customer and am trying a number of items. The sourdough bread has a great taste to it, and it toasts well. The chicken cutlets have a light and fresh taste to them. I fried them in a butter/olive oil base, after seasoning and coating with flour, and the pieces just fall apart in your mouth. The Meme's Strawberry dessert is light, with a wonderful blend of angel food cake, pudding, strawberries, and whipped cream, all portioned out well, so you some of all of it in one bite. My husband grabbed a small chocolate milk and commented gow wonderful and chocolatey it tastes.

We still have more items to try that we bought, but thus far, we are very happy with the purchases. We will be back, even though it's a solid 45-minute drive there.

I only stopped in a couple times here and there, but I won a gift card to here and I have to say that everything I tried was incredible. I got one of those "fancy" bottles of olive oil and I still have half the bottle after almost a year, the meats are excellent and the variety of local and specialty items is great. If your looking for local sourced, fresh, organic, natural, and other specialty kinds of foods and drinks this is definitely the place to go, not to mention the variety of spices, honey, and kitchen equipment (I love the cutting boards) they have here to choose from. They also have a small deli like area as well that sells ready made foods, I tried the BBQ pork and it was delicious. So it might look small on the outside but the inside packs a big punch of things...

Fifth Generations Farm grocery store on highway 90, in Lake City has become a very popular store for us to shop. The produce in the store is always very fresh and at a good price. In the Butcher Shop, we have tried the half chickens(great for baking) and I don't have to cut through the breast myself. Also the ground chuck is a few cents more than other groceries, but when you try it WOW! It is the best,no grease in the pan when fried. The same for the chuck roast. The Wainwright cheese in sharp or regular cheddar is the best. Before I forget, the butcher is very helpful and knowledgeable and all the employees are very helpful and friendly.
