Unorganized and classless winery hotel & resort. We booked this winery because it has a restaurant, spa & pool. We were unable to use any of it. Check in is 4pm spa & pool closes at 5/6pm (depending on day) so by the time you get checked in there is no time to enjoy any of it.
The restaurant has no preference for hotel guests and nobody at reception during check in was bothered to recommend we book a reservation at the restaurant to avoid not getting a table. We went to the restaurant which was apparently booked out although was empty at 6:30pm inside and out without even having a light/bar food menu to order from and we were asked to walk to the bar to order our drinks (self service) while we waited for a reservation cancellation at outside tables we were told to sit at.
it seemed the restaurant was understaffed and more concerned catering to a high school party than paying hotel guests as the next problem came as we sat outside our villas private courtyard to have a relaxing wine at sunset but at 7pm obnoxious drum & bass music loud enough to cross a vineyard from the restaurant to our villas even with the doors closed it came through the walls.
This was for the high school party that we were told by reception was until 10pm, it went right up until 11pm+ when we arrived back to get away from the noise and going elsewhere to eat which defeated the purpose of us staying here! expecting a quite, classy, mature, relaxing weekend getaway with everything in one location!
They seem only interested in booking out the place for outside profit while the hotel guests have to deal with teenage parties and excessive music which drowns out any peace & tranquility you would expect from a winery.
Take your money anywhere else! Overpriced and well...
Read moreVery upset with this place, I am 4 months pregnant (not showing yet) woman. I booked a facial here and a deep tissue massage. My wedding was coming up in two days so I was so excited to go to the spa. First off this place is ridiculously hard to find. It took me 30 min to walk through the maze to get there. I arrive and have my facial as planned then I go and get into the elevator to go up to my massage, well some lady who I believed to be the manager working on 4/15 At 5pm stops the elevator door and says “so we are changing your deep tissue massage to a pregnancy massage. And In my mind I’m furious because I told the woman who booked my appointment that I was pregnant and a pro athlete and needed a deep Tishue and she booked me no problem. I asked her what the pregnancy massage consists of and she began to go on that it would be light and relaxing and she stated “We will not do a deep tissue on a pregnant woman.” To me this was DISCRIMINITORY. So just because I am pregnant I am not allowed to do other things that woman can do? I don’t have the right to the same service other woman are allowed? The woman was very rude so I declined the massage and told her to cancel it and left the spa immediately. The desk clerk tried to charge me for the massage while I was checking out and then took the massage off. Very upsetting situation to have happen two days before my wedding. There is no law that pregnant women can’t have massages especially deep Tissue, we still legally have to work and live daily normal lives we deserve to be treated equally. They also DO NOT have the “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone” sights posted anywhere which they legally have to have to turn someone away. They will def be hearing...
Read moreTerrible experience. I booked a facial ($170) and got there when they told me to. My mom had purchased a gift card ahead of time and they informed her I could pick it up from the spa when I get there and use it towards my facial. When I get there and tell the front desk about the gift card they told me I have to go to the gift shop to pick up the gift card (which was not close by) and it was pouring rain that day. I asked if they could give me a ride via golf cart but they said no. So I am walking in sandals (didn’t think I would have to walk half a mile in mud on my spa day) and while golf carts are passing me in ankle deep in mud and stepping on snails. I finally get to the gift shop and they aren’t even open until 11am. It was 9am when I showed up. So I walk all the way back completely mad and they don’t even care that they didn’t know the time the gift shop opens. I decide to get changed and wait for my facial. I’m waiting 20 minutes passed my scheduled time and still no attention from anyone! I finally ask and they get the manager who apologized. It wasn’t even busy! There was no one there. For what was supposed to be a relaxing day turned out to be stressful and disgusting. The manager couldn’t even explain why my moms card was double charged either. She ended up having to file a claim with her bank. Don’t waste your time...
