Julian Cider Mill — Attraction in San Diego Country Estates

After living 3 years in San Diego, I finally had an opportunity to visit Julian, CA and it was a very memorable experience.

Julian is an old town that is located way out in the inland countryside and it took over 1 hour to drive to. Julian is famous for its quaint, old-fashioned appeal and it's pies.

The Julian Cider Mill is located on the Main Street of town and is well known for its sweets & candies. I mean, if you've got a sweet tooth, then you've GOT to make the Mecca to this shop.

Although it's small in size, they make full use of every shelf and space available. You can find fudge, scones, chocolates, toffee, taffy, caramels, pretzels, gummis, nuts, honeys, butter, jams, sauces, spreads, candy sweets, confections of every sort and treats to sooth your every desire... oh! Yeah and they have ciders!

They also carry a small variety of unique gift ideas and decorations, like ornaments, knick-knacks, signs and mugs. There's honestly too much to mention and you just HAVE to visit here when passing through Julian.

A fair warning to health buffs, some of the candies contain corn syrup and such; but honestly, it's candy... it's NOT supposed to be healthy for you.

Extremely disappointed I have been shopping here for years it was a must stop every time I visit Julian I would tell my friends to shop here when visiting Julian. NEVER again I had a terrible experience last visit The women at the check out line on the left side this past weekend was extremely disrespectful Top of the line rude and arrogant I did not disrespect this women at all even when I was walking out she proceeded to scream I have an ESA animal the women in the counter screamed no pets allowed in the store informed her I had an ESA the women then again responded very loudly “that’s not a service animal mental condition is not an illness “ I felt attacked, offended and the employee is making a comment about a condition she has no knowledge about I will make sure to tell people about the disrespect terrible service employees at this store have. Terrible experience visiting to Julian Not worth time or gas Specially when one of the reasons visiting was to stop...

So basically the main reason for our little trip this weekend was so we could buy two jars of spicy habanero salsa. No seriously we just came to buy salsa!! I swear thought my sister and I can't go nowhere, why in the world did we end up leaving with a big bag each of stuff and $60 less in our pockets lol. The lady in the cash register seen our hands full and asked us why we didn't get a basket and we told her because we were only planning on buying salsa. But hey at least we all had a good laugh. This Cider Mill is actually stocked up with different kinds of stuff, dried fruits (we took some mango with chile lol), butters (I liked the pumpkin one over the apple one they has samples), mustard (which my sister took a cilantro jalapeño one) many types of honey and nuts. I do have to say we did a good job staying away from all the candy, but I did end up taking some granola lol couldn't help it!! I would definitely make a return stop here if...
