La Fogata Catering — Attraction in Jersey Village

My family and I went for a Sunday brunch. We arrived and were seated. 10 minutes later the waiter came and asked for our drinks. He forgot my husbands and I drink which was water, and when I asked him for our drinks, the waiter reassured me that he brought it to us. 😑 When we looked at the menu we asked the waiter about the prices because it says on the menu it varies, but the waiter did a horrible job explaining the prices, he couldn't even tell us the actual price for a plate but we went ahead and ordered. We all had to keep asking him for refills. Then they took 40 minutes to bring our food out which was semi Cold. Once the ticket came, we were all surprised. My best friend paid $35 for a carne asada plate. Which was a small piece of Steak. My husband and I paid $55 for 2 plates of enchiladas. To add on, they INCLUDE GRATUITY, which is Ok but the waiter did horrible, and our food took 40 minutes to come out, and not once did they Apologize. Overall, I will never come back to this restaurant, poor customer service, and the pricing does not compare to the type of food they serve. Gringos is a much well put together restaurant and has better food then this place and way...

These ratings have to be a joke! HORRIBLE! I used to go to the restaurant that preceded La Fogata and it was great! So sad they closed. I have given La Fogata 4 tries because I kept thinking it would improve, but I will never go back! First there was a roach on the floor, which is not a big deal because it is Texas and that happens. But the waitress looked at it and did nothing about it! The kitchen took 40 minutes to cook our food and then they brought out the wrong dish. My cousin told our waitress and she disappeared and came back and said it would take 25 minutes to cook the right dish he ordered. Then she took his plate without asking if he wanted to keep it and walked away. I have never seen service this terrible. Prices are really high, they do not offer a lunch menu. All around I would definitely choose a different restaurant....

We had been here twice (on Friday evenings) & were impressed so much we invited some other friends, who had to drive a lot further that we did. We came on a Sunday evening & the service was terrible. Our lady friend ordered her drink the same time as the rest of us, she wanted a margarita with gran marnier - it finally came more than 20 minutes later, after some of us had already ordered & received our 2nd drink. 7 in the party - 4 of us got our food served OK - of the other 3, their food didn't come until we'd complained several times to the waitress & the manager & the other 4 of us had already finished our meals by then. & then when they got their food, it was cold, not even warm.
