Legends Escape Rooms — Attraction in Brandon

Legends was fun and very well built. I’ve been to others in the tampa area and this one was the nicest I’ve been in as far as quality. My friends and I did the club LOL room. It starts where your group is split in two rooms and you have to work together. The problem was, we were with another group of people and they were just not understanding the challenges. I’ve never failed a room before but this time I spent most of the time just sitting there while the employee had to keep giving clues over and over to the other family because they weren’t getting it. This in turn completely ruined our experience. Our friends were disappointed at they had never been to an escape room and we explained that’s not a normal experience. Legends did tell me that another group would be doing the room with us, but we’ve done other rooms before with other groups and it didn’t turn out like this. Needless to say I was super disappointed. I would recommend this room only if you were the only group and not having to rely on another group that you don’t know. You could tell the employee was even frustrated with them at the end because they were just not getting the concept.

Edit: the owner reached out to me to make it right within an hour of me writing this. That to me is someone who cares about their business and cares how their customer feels. You don’t find that a lot in business and I really appreciate him reaching out to me. First let me apologize to the ownership for not posting sooner. My family went on 23 Dec 17 and we had a BLAST! Our girls are 12 and 11 and Escape rooms are our thing. The four of us arrived and we went through the first room with a young lady who was waiting for the same room as us. We did the Wild Wild West room. Awesome!! The layout of the room is incredible and there is enough things to occupy the attention of all five of us easily. In fact there are puzzles that the young lady and my daughter solved that I still haven’t figured out yet, lol. The “game admistrator(s)” were helpful. Although we didn’t make it out in time, super close, we had a blast. The owners actually let us see a second room “moonshine.” It looked so interesting that we had to sign up and definitely had to keep th team together so we asked the young lady to go as well. If we thought the layout of the wild Wild West was great, moonshiner was even better. I will say this, I would not recommend moonshiner as your first room. But hey, although difficult, our administrators kept us moving and even laughing throughout. Let me say we were mentally exhausted after this room but in a great way. Legends is definitely a great escape venue. It has really cool and unique room themes. The rooms are very immersive and have intriguing and well developed puzzles. Wizards challenge and Anubis are definitely the best rooms as their theming was just extraordinary. However, they were very very challenging (good challenging though). The owners are very passionate and seem to really care about the quality of the rooms. I can't wait to see what other rooms they create in the future. I have one complaint. During our last room (Moonshine Cabin)...there was prop that my teammate and I could not get to work. I'm not sure if it was a user malfunction or a prop issue, but our team wasted about 7-8 minutes dealing with this prop. Which was frustrating because we spent 7-8 minutes to not get to complete the puzzle (they eventually triggered it for us which is fine). I just wish they would have paused our time as that was 7-8 minutes we lost during our game and stopped us from seeing other parts of the room. I still have to admit that Moonshine was still a really cool room and although this situation and how it was handled was frustrating it seems to be a rare occurrence at Legends. I would still...
